I believe Diana had some strong narcissistic traits & that's where Harry gets his from. All narcissists can "act" charitable. They care tremendously about their image. Some are more covert about it than Meghan Markel.
@wynn1587 Diana was as much a sociopath as she was an empath! You need to research the unbelievably nasty things she did to people in her private life! She was a very cruel and vindictive woman in private. Of course she also had her good side!
Anne completely agree I bet if Diana had not married her prince she would not have done any charitable work like a lot of people do without the standing ovation and round of applause she got and lapped up

Andrew Morton has been the thorn in the Wales's skin. He Stoked the fire n rubbed salt into wounds that any young couple do have. Had it not for this horrible man Prince Charles n Diana would have never separated. So glad that lady C is telling it all. Prince Charles is kind and refined. He does not deserve this negative image.
Diana and Charles informally separated in 1986 when Charles discovered Diana was in love and involved with her bodyguard Barry Mannakee. Charles ended their intimate relationship to avoid any possibility of Diana having a child by another man and passing the child off as an heir to the throne. That would be high treason. Andrew Morton's book was based on the tapes Diana recorded for him. Diana said what she wanted people to believe, and it was extremely biased and one-sided and not fully truthful. In an interview, Andrew Morton made a point to say that the book was "Diana's Story" and not necessarily truthful. 1992 was a bad year for Diana. Her father was ill and died. She was at odds with her family. Her affair with James Hewitt ended. She wasn't happy. I suspect Diana was very jealous of Charles and Camilla's happiness. Charles renewed his intimate relationship with Camilla after ending his intimate relationship with Diana in 1986. The Queen and Prince Philip had a stern talk with Diana after her 1992 tell-all book was published. They asked her to think about what she was doing to the monarchy and William's future. Diana and Charles officially separated in 1992. Philip corresponded with Diana trying to encourage her to be loyal to the monarchy. Philip stopped speaking to Diana after her 1995 BBC Panorama interview. Diana's BBC interview prompted the queen to request the divorce. Diana's 1995 BBC Panorama interview was intended to undermine Charles and destroy his reputation. At the time, Diana's reputation was tarnished by the tabloid reports of her affairs. Diana was labeled a home wrecker in the tabloids. Diana had EIGHT or more affairs before the divorce was final. FOUR of her affairs were with married men. NONE of Diana's affairs were successful long-term relationships. She had difficulty establishing and sustaining personal relationships.
I liked they way you conducted the entire interview. IMO LCC is honest, Still maintains a sense of humor, possesses some valuable depth and wisdom. She is a product of her upbringing and is a bit rigid in areas, but that is not a fault. She is fun!!
Quentin Crisp was eloquent in what he said about Diana. His words are availabe on Google. His final words were, "The vulgarity is overpowering." God Save King Charles and Queen Camilla.
If everything was handled above-board, there may not have been a William and Harry. Charles was forced to marry in order to produce an heir and a spare. Diana was selected as the mare, to bear both heir and spare. That is the reality of the situation. Diana was also forced to proceed. Once Charles said "whatever "in love" means," that's when Diana should have been able to call the wedding off, if she was unwilling to look the other way. She was aware enough of Charles' feelings for Camilla Parker Bowles, that one of her older family members should have asked her point blank, whether or not the role of "long suffering wife" was one that she was prepared to play. They did not, since they wanted the prestige associated with being related by marriage to the Royal Family, possibly even more than Diana did. Given her age and given the times, both the eating disorder and affairs were understandable. I think if they had it to do over, it would have been handled differently, and there wouldn't be a William and a Harry.
Diana’s dress gave it away, she was a naive young girl who thought marrying a Prince and becoming a princess was a fairytale come true, unfortunately reality hit and she wasn’t prepared.
@ First of all, Madam, Diana was too young to know what love was. She may have been in love with the idea of love, especially with a Prince destined to be King, of all people, but she had not even known Charles for long by the time they became engaged, let alone spent sufficient time with him, to be able to fall in love. Once Charles told the media interviewer "whatever in love means," that is when, with her family's full backing, Diana should have been able to call off the wedding.
@@davidhoward2487 Yes, I believe that Diana did know what her "historical" role was to be, but she was too young, and too emotionally immature to have been expected to make a concerted choice to go along, which meant "forever holding her peace." Royal Family or not, as a parent, I would NEVER have allowed my daughter to marry a man who said "whatever in love means," because THAT meant "NO," no matter how you look at it!
I don’t know if this is true or not, but I heard marrying Diana was not what Charles wanted. It was what Elizabeth II wanted. That could be the only reason Margaret and Anne were married off to their ex husbands.
Yes, Diana was beautiful ❤️ Yes, Diana’s story is very sad, but she learned how to play the game. Diana turned crazy and vengeful when she could NOT make Charles love her! She wanted to destroy Charles! Diana played a very dangerous game with very high stakes involved. And then the car accident happened…. Very often in life, truth is stranger than fiction.
I know everyone raises Diana to saint heights but I always found her to be the perpetually whiney, weak, pouting opportunist. Even the way people blame Charles only fir their marriage debacle shows how no one holds Diana, not even herself, accountable for her part in this. He married someone he didn't love. She married someone she knew didn't love her. I'm not sure which is worse. Most times I think the latter. She became the most photographed woman in the world, after all. If the genders were exactly reversed we wouldn't be applauding the younger guy who married an older famous rich woman who he knew didn't love him, but in turn got an enormous amount of fame and money out of the deal.
I think there is fault on both sides. She knew what she was getting into as she is of the aristocracy. The day before her wedding she was happy she wad marrying Charles.
Diana was human and a kind heart Though Lady C tells how it is I saw the full interview Very honest and balanced God bless To All that commented And the story interviewer well done
Seeing the articles about Diana, there are lots of sympathy towards her. I know their marriage ruined both of her and Charles souls but when I see Diana's interview I feel like she's projecting this meek demeanor and always putting Charles in the bad light in a causal manner, which is a manipulative behaviour. She knows that she could win people's heart if she shows them that's she's the victim.
I never thought you were controversial. You portrait the best there is in the British aristocracy. I had a friend like you years ago and learnt then how different our cultures were.
It’s simple. The Queen said to Charles you must find a non- commoner that’s a virgin and get married and have heirs to the thrown. So Charles still hung onto Camilla and deceived and tricked Diane an 18 year old girl and simply used her and caused her much pain - he used her as a breeder. Simple to explain and a horrible thing to do to such a sweet, kind, loving, good natured teenager
I would like to point out, that like myself, married at 19 but became 20 in the same year. I married for love having become engaged at 17. But she was gauche and uneducated, Charles was educated, had very strong ideas and was a more cultured person. But the family wanted him to marry a virgin and she fitted the bill. But it doesn't make any difference because all of the queen's children, except Charles, all married non virgins. And apart from Edward, who has remained in a faithfull loving marriage to a woman who has adapted very well to the Royal life and us a good representative for the Royal family.
THROWN! You mean throne! The rest of your post is equally off the mark , in fact its a tissue of lies, Diana was 20 when they married.
