technically he couldn't - musically ... I'm not a BG's fan so my opinion isn't neutral... but I find Pee Wee more interesting and meaningful.

Benny Goodman said in a interview, that he learned a lot by studying Pee Wee Russell. He influenced him. The other clarinet player, who influenced Benny was Buster Bailey.
