"IOLA" is a pleasant march from the early ragtime era. The 2nd theme of the piece was plagiarized note-for-note by composer Saxie Dowell for the 1940 song "Playmates" which was a big hit for Kay Kyser and others. Johnson sued and settled out of court for an undisclosed sum.
