Thanks I’m not sure I want to try this as a first time back sewing at 69 for a great grandson, but you are a wonderful teacher,. I enjoyed the tutorial very much.❤❤❤❤

I love the idea of Upcycling men’s shirts. I’m having a lot of trouble finishing the romper. I can’t get the facing to match up with gusset. I was able to do other opposing curves but this one just won’t fit. I think the facing is too small now that I’ve sew the two facing together and turned right out out. Any suggestions?
So the inner curve of the inseam facing isn't long enough to fit in the back inseam? You could stitch a line at 1/4 inch along the inseam facing and clip up to the stitching to help that seam allowance stretch more. You could take deeper seam allowances on each side of the gusset to make the back inseam a shorter length. You could also ease the back inseam to make it slightly smaller. I found it changed depending on the shirt type and the interfacing.
You make it look so easy. I'm going to make this for my 4 month old grandson. Thank you so much ❤ for sharing this. I will post my finished romper.
Hope you enjoy
Thank you. Making this for a friends grandbaby from a grandfather’s shirt. Love this!

Such a darling upcycle from a shirt! Thank you for posting!
It really is!
I got the pattern and just watched the video. This will be quite the challenge for me.
It is definitely an intermediate sewing pattern level

I like this idea. I already bought it and sewed it. I’d like to buy the one that includes the dress pattern and girls romper with ruffles down chest
