A lot of people think that Michelle from the resistance's line, "Listen very carefully I shall say zis only once." was the joke. But the real joke was that she always had to repeat herself. She never said it only once!
No, the real joke is that she keeps repeating "Listen very carefully I shall say zis only once" every single time, because 1). At this point, that's the expectation rather than the norm, so why keep saying it? 2). Because the whole point of saying it is to save time, redundantly continuing to do so is defeating the object.

Words cannot say how much I love them!!!! Allo Allo is a part of my life and I'm a young person, I watched them when I was a kid (I didn't even have enough knowledge of History and WW2) but I really enjoyed it and it always brings so nice memories!!! Thank you all for making such a masterpiece! 😍😍😍👏👏👏
About 15 years ago I saw the locals in a Bulgarian village watching 'Allo 'Allo in the village bar. The episode was dubbed and the locals were all laughing. I've no idea how the British spy policeman with the awful French translated into Bulgarian.
It was great !!! His lines are still quoted by a great many people to this day. Like, when I used to go school or, later in life, go to work, I used to be greeted with his line in Bulgarian - "Добриютро" / (Good Moaning). Also, Fairfax and Carstairs in the bulgarian dub were hallarious
Good Moaning" is what Crabtree said as he came into a room. But once, as he was leaving, he turned back and said _"Excuse me for loving you, but I have my dirty to do."_ THAT's my favorite line of the series.
frogsoda my favourite phrase from Crabtree was this: Crabtree: Go to the jonktion outsode the toon & I'll fond you on my bercicle. Rene: you do have a lot of plans today Crabtree: My Broon is going like the clippers....I'll meet you at the jonktion at half piss socks! 😂😂🤣🤣
Allo Allo was simply brilliant very funny sitcom brilliantly written and as I have every single episode on DVD every time I watch it I never fail to double up with laughter so very funny sitcom 😂😂😂😂
Soo thank you Sofia, every time I watch this video, all good memories come back ❤️ This year I turned 21, but after all Allo Allo is stil my top of the top ❤️
I say this to my wife all the time, she knows the reference and that I am joking , sometimes I forget and say it in front of her friends, they do not get it...
Helga and Flick always had the best innuendo-filled exchanges. Probably the best one was starting the car with the crank, but I always laugh at even the smaller ones. The one where they were having dinner and she holds up a drooping sausage on a fork, "Herr Flick, my sausage has gone limp." "I dip mine in ze pickle. It revitalizes it!"
I have seen all episodes so many times that I can say the lines with the actors, but I still laugh at the absolutely brilliant jokes, the timing, the brotish sillyness. Thank you to everybody who was involved in making Allo Allo!
I bought an Amazon Kindle from that Police Officer once, I have to admit it does the job perfectly! it makes the room smell amazing and it doesn't melt for ages!
This show was so brillant that even some of the family names of the fictional characters bore a connection to their features or roles: "Artois" is the beer's name, "Geering" seems similar to "gering" in German, which is of "minor importance", "Gruber" sounds as "Groover" , which is in line with the lieutenant's leanings lol
This is great to see these awesome actors, i remember as a kid on a rainy night hearing on the news that gorden kaye had been in a car accident, i was proper worried, then he bounced back, you cant keep rene down lol, rip geezer
I used to learn English watching this, like play and rewind 100's of times to get all the words and check them in dictionary :) still one of my favorite comedy series that I like to return to from time to time.
i still use 'good meuning' everyday when i enter a room no matter what time of day it is xD every single day i love this show and the characters, some of it stuck i guess.
The scene that Kim explained with Herr Flick playing the organ, i actually watched last night on my Allo Allo box set i was given last week as an early Christmas gift. The part where Herr Flick says "Look no hands" always cracks me up.
It's August 2018 now, and for the last number of years I've walked into my work every morning and greeted them all with "Good Moaning"..... And I will continue to do so until I retire.

So it tickled lots of different funny bones. Amazing how they managed to pull that off when it was about one of the most infamously evil regimes conquering a country that was and is still in living memory, yet they still managed to make the German officers sympathetic characters. An astounding feet of balance.

Is it just me or has Richard Gibson not aged at all?
I saw him in 2017 and he has aged more now.
The Gestapo keeps you young.
It might have been some of those gestapo serums, extracted by the glance of a hedgehog in the moment of mating or something.
Richard Gibson is a fucking legend!!!!

Richard Gibson hasn't changed at all.
I thought his catchphrase was something to do with beating up Von Smallhousen.
He is. Here and now too. After he said: "German humour is not a laughing matter!" I grinned like a Cheshire Cat.
I sort of appreciate John Louis Mansi's interpretation of the character in spirit of Peter Lorre and his approach .
