Let me see if I understand this correctly. We the people pay taxes which are use to train LEOs in First Aid and CPR. Not only does that tax money go to train these officers, they are paid while in training. Furthermore the training and continued certification in this training is a REQUIREMENT of the job, as is being a first responder. Finally, as someone who has a card saying I am trained in CPR and First aid, I am REQUIRED by LAW to assist a person needing either CPR or First Aid yet being a first responder isn't my job. All that said, if I understand you people correctly, you awarded these LEOs for doing their job... a job that We The People PAY them to do? Is their pay and benefits NOT enough? How pathetic!
