What about if you have 30 feet of continuous mitres from post to post. How do you attach the metal cylinder to the bottom? Have to flip the entire thing over as a unit?
That is one option, yes! You can also work a section at a time if your layout allows for it before connecting it all together. We recommend getting in touch with our support team to answer questions specific to your layout!
love your system, but have you used a Vix bit ? its a drill bit enclosed in a larger diameter housing that allows a perfect centered pilot hole. the come in # 6, 8, 10, and 12 sizes. To get precise centering in a metal hardware. check vix bits out.
Around the 28:00 mark would it make sense to install the lowest cable and bullet fittings (knowing they can be removed fairly easily off one side) and validate the placement of the intermediate post, to be point-perfect? Also what's the post distance recommendation where you'd need a spacer bar - 6ft? thinking about the inspector doing the 4" sphere test it seems like this is designed to keep it from deflecting throughout.
Hi there! Yeah, you could absolutely do that to validate your post placement! As it regards spacer bar placement, we recommend having some sort of cable support every 4ft. So if you have a 6ft span, you'd definitely want a spacer bar in the middle to help with your cable deflection. If you have any other questions, you can also reach out to our support team via our website.
hi , Just a note on the meaning of level and plum semantics . Anytime you are holding a level horizontal it's called checking level. Anytime you are holding a level Vertical, it's called checking Plum. As a cabinet make for over 45 years , when you place your 6' vertical level many times in the video on a bracket and say it's level. Kinda clouds Clarity up a bit. And makes me Batty. like calling a nail a screw. But you are a excellent instructor and thinking about buying your system.
Hey George, our posts come standard with your choice of handrail mounting bracket (classic or modern style). Our aluminum handrail meets IRC requirements for "graspability", however, you would need to use the 36-inch height posts. We are currently working on a standalone handrail bracket that mounts to the side of our taller 42-inch posts.
Best video ever, good work, it help us a lot
Thanks Rivaldo! Glad it helped! Feel free to reach out and let us know if there is anything we can assist with!

We have not tried this but will definitely look into it!
Great job 👍
Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback, Allen. Accuracy matters! We'll keep this in mind for next time around.
Well if we're being pedantic, plum is a delicious stonefruit of Asian origin. Plumb is the vertical perpendicular alignment to level.
do the post come with rain mounting bracket installed on top or do they need to be installed? Thnx
