This is the best, most straightforward and affordable way I've seen. Awesome!

Great solution idea and at a right price! Thanks for sharing.
Love your shirt. I've used a similar phrase in a mixed group setting, "Grow a pair"
Lol! Sometimes you just have to have the huevos to go for it!
I really appreciate all the nature moments!!! 😂😅😊
This is awesome thank you for the idea I’ve been looking for videos here for this idea thank you 🙌🏻🙌🏻
It would have been nicer if you showed an example of the attachment, because it is not clear if you drill to the frame or the corregation? Does the 3”x3” goes on the inside or on the outside of the container?
Hi. You drill the wood. The 3x3 fits inside of the hole on the shipping container. I hope this helps.
I just bolted 2x8’s to the outside of my 20’ container using this same method to make a base for my roof trusses. Plenty strong enough. 2 of them are holding a 2x8x26’ on the outsides to make a covered area under the doors.
Exactly what I was looking for.... I would like to see it in action though. Thank you for the video.
I am going to do a part 2 on this as soon as I can. Please stay tuned. If you have any questions I would love to help!
Thank you, simple and do able...and you are so brave! I would not get near the Tarantula with a tractor!!!
Woo hoo, 😅 let’s go. Luved it💯☕️✌️😆💪🇺🇸
Awesome setup! I'll be using your technique to attach a pole for a solar panel. Thanks for the info!
Thanks for the reply!
I see that leaking unless you use rubber gaskets or sealants. IF you care about water penetration...your way isnt good enough..I own 3 of these and learned the hard way.
We use it for a dog gate, so it’s outdoors. I would seal this with spray foam and silicone if you were to use this method for anything that is indoors.
Love this
Yay! Thanks for the comment.
Eww that was a really big spider 🕷️, so so glad you never freaked out like my wife does. Heaven forbid, if she would of saw that it would of been terrible 😮
How simple was that? What’s not to like. Thank you.😊
Thanks for your comment!
Thank you for your video. Your idea may lead to a solution that I've been chasing for a couple of years. I would like to extend PVC (or other) polls up 2 to 4 feet above our 20 x 8 ft shipping container to attach our solar shade across the container and also to two sunning sides. I've done this and while I love the shades, so far, I've not been able to securely attach the polls and they fall off at an angle. I thought was going to be easy to attach the polls, so far has not. Any other ideas appreciated.
Also this leads me to another idea I'd like to do. Our shipping container is oriented east - west. I'd like to build a minimal lean to shed on the 20 foot north side of the shipping container. Ideally, higher than the shipping container so that the sun can shine into the shed over the shipping container from the south and with the single slope roof sloping to the north. I may or may not have enclosed side walls. Anyone do anything like this?
Thanks. Dave
Honestly, this solution holds up a gate for us. I can’t see why it wouldn’t work for your situation. I have another RUclips about a shade/snow lode for a 20 ft container. We love them. As far as the lean 2, I want to do the same thing with solar panels and rain water catchment. I got a rain barrel at tractor supply that I want to use. I just haven’t had time.
@@MinerMaGold Thanks for the reply. I remembered your video and went down to Home Depot - of course I couldn't remember the name of the name "bearing plate" and couldn't find it even with store help. Reviewed your video again and easily found with internet search. Thanks again! I also like your video about your canopy over the cargo unit.
$140 cheaper than a Domino Clamp lol
(No hate though, I will say the Domino Clamp is really beefy and looks great)
Silicone works the best. No holes.
would have been great to see you actually attach it
I have a part 2 for a diagram
a video would have been better showing ,the step by step process of what you explained in the video..
I will work on one for ya. In the meantime, ask anything and I will try to help.
What type and size of drill bit did you use?
3/4 in hole is standard on a bearing plate. I would check your bearing plate to be sure.
Atascadero?
You didn't show how to fit it
Please see part 2
...seriously?
That’s my story and I am sticking to it. Lol.
Complete waste of time.
More time spent on the spider than sharing any usable information.
Please see my part 2 if you want more information. Thanks.
