I don't hate on anyone that does speed runs for any game but sometimes with these random ass games and how much time they put into finding exploits and glitches just boggles my mind. I find it quite ridiculous tbh but that's because I love taking my time with games.

So one cool thing about our favorite guy Julius Caesar is that we have documentation that he himself authored about his own rule and conquest as a leader in the Roman Empire. But what's funny is, he took into account the idea that his writing would exist long after he's gone; so, he wrote in third person. "Caesar did this, Caesar did this *because*..." and that's actually pretty cool to get the man's personal account of his own actions. Given the way MKarma structured his video, one could make the case that what he did makes him a modern Caesar.

I cannot express enough how positively weird it feels to see one of my favorite big RUclips creators react to a video from a guy I've subbed since around 400 subs that is about a game I've played during my childhood that I believed would never reach any form of recognition outside its humble fanbase. I played this game on Gamecube. I remember it fondly as a fun little adventure game with a lot of heart. There are a variety of challenges from platforming to puzzles, the soundtrack absolutely slaps, and I enjoyed the cartoony art style.
I love how the actual community could've been a total of like 6 dudes, and the yet the video paints it as one of the greatest and most speedran games ever. You could do this for almost any game with as many as 6 or so runners and it'd get recommended to me to watch with upwards of 500k views

My brother being a LoTR fan, found this at a store and we were OBSESSED in the early 2000s. Such good memories. You get attracted to the weirdest shit and develop an incredibly deep understanding of it bc you're engaging with it like 12 hours a day with few breaks. Continuous obsessive engagement, even if it's only for a few weeks, let's you get deeper into something than if you were just consistently putting in less time per 'session' over months, because of how it primes your brain. Jenny Nicholson is a good example of autistic obsession too, except her channel is very successful; Her content has a compelling split of more mainstream interests and 'script doctoring', as well as a good splash of her more niche interests and unheard of picks. I played The Hobbit when I was younger, got to a point where I had 3 coloured pots or something and I thoguht you had to pick them up in the order you need to place them and I didn't realise you could select which pot to place

this is honestly amazing that obscure games can still hold a fanbase, and because of this the game is kept alive and not lost to time like so many others. Some games aren’t even lucky to have footage left of them únù
