Hindsight is a lovely thing with many of these Rovers. After Rover went, it's take a lot of time to realise what we lost.
Loved seeing so many cherished examples.

Another excellent video Andrew. You do present them well and have a good knowledge of the cars. It looks to have been a good show.

Sd1 vitesse is the sporty model so manual is a must! There were a few auto vitesses but they were discontinued in around 1984 when the Vanden Plas efi came out which was top luxury with the Vitesse engine. Manual vitesses (TPs especially) are the ones people want now and that’s reflected in current values.

Thats a good point and I forget the sports image of the Vitesse... I just look at the Rover badge and don't associate the two.

I'm currently changing my sd1 from 2600 auto to manual as I'm not impressed with the 3 speed. The manual makes it nicer to drive imo. I'm pretty sure that engine in that P5 is out of a Senator. I didn't get change to come to this last week so this video is excellent thank you

3-speed borg warner (had one in my P6 2000 Auto) is relatively smooth and does it job but not with any efficiency so I'm not surprised!

There was some nice old rovers after 2000 they went down hill gloss and and satin black is lot better than matt black the many people who have painted that after I've done welding looks nasty the best mgs are the better are the turbo ones i had a metro modified engine 1360cc and put it in a mini was alot of modification on the bulkhead to get the turbo in was very fast im not a automatic gearbox fan on any old cars but every one is different mate

This is a place I have been meaning to visit after Hubnut did a video, looks interesting. The Cityrover shouldn’t be there though. I did chuckle when you said Rover is your favourite marque whilst owning two Fords. Any intention of adding another Rover to the fleet?

Just because my fleet of three is balanced on the Ford side of things at the moment doesn't mean that my interests don't also lie elsewhere. I owned a P6 for 6 years and would swing that way again very easily if the right car comes along, the MK3 Fiesta being the Classic of the fleet just came about at the right time, taking the swing towards Ford. It could have easily been another Rover product. I tend to sit between the two Marques and celebrate the best of the both but those who know me well very much know that I'm more of a Rover-derived person, they made generally better cars throughout the years.
I won't add a forth to the fleet because unfortunately my finances don't stretch that far and I prefer to look after 3 cars to a high standard rather than owning several cars and letting them all "decline" as I see from other RUclipsrs. The Fiesta would have to move on for me to own another Rover.
