happy riding! i’ve just made the biggest upgrade you can have, changed the frame from old XC to secondhand 4X frame and omg i have a totally different bicycle :-) it’s so great for a pump track, it still works well as a commuter bike (i just need a longer seatpost) and it jumps over everything like crazy :-) and the best part is no other part needed replacement, only frame :-)
Matt I believe you've put your rear adapter/spacer on back to front! Alot of clearance from disc to caliper towards the rear of the brake, may just be the design of the caliper though

We did lots of climbing when testing the bike, I’m super happy with how it rides on longer trail rides. Obviously the descending it amazing but it’s such a versatile bike for more chill rides too

I just come back from Cycle republic because want to see the SQ1 Marin, as was so inspired by your reviews, and would like to ask you a couple of questions. 1st The bars were extremely big or should I say wide. Is there a particular reason for this? It worries me that it won't go through and starting hitting just about everything on the way. It was also a way too forward kind of like they had adjusted for getting more bikes on the display, don't know why but felt generally strange. Please, can comment on this? 2nd The weight was way more than I would ever imagine for a 2019 bike and yes the guy say that for £600 is a great bike and that I could upgrade later but for me, that would mean another 300 pounds and still don't know how much less the wait would be and to tell you the truth would like to go for something that I know what I'm getting into. Unfortunately, they did not have the SQ2 or SQ3 but again for that money there online I think there are a lot more better deals. 3rd The Seat got the way when I was trying to get a feeling for what the ride would be on steep downhills and it also worry me. Again another question and if I'm not mistaken the frame was 18 and I'm 1,67 meter tall but jet it felt like the bike was small but the reach long and would have trouble clearing the seat. Im 6ft and i ride a small (16”) cube hardtail and i feel it fits me fine, i also come from a bmx background so my logic was the same, just try and get to some demo days and try out the different frame sizes

Just to let you know, you got a mistake of installing the rear caliper adaptor. The thicker side should be at the front of the mount.
