When you're able to both convince 1/3 of the country that you're the best person for the hardest job on the planet, but at the same time clueless as to the security parameters of the job you've signed off as being trained on. Oh, and it doesn't hurt to have 100 billion dollars to throw around from your Foundation slush fund and quite possibly hit men on retainer.

  • @QaadirHoward

Im still watching this interview. But whats striking to me and very obvious is, how can he say based on her "interview" he's come to the conclusion that any reasonable prosecutor would not move forward when he himself has ADMITTED to not going over all the details of the interview itself? How can you conclude that theres no case when you can't even answer basic questions that are put to you because you actually don't know? How does that make sense? So you've concluded based off of information you DO NOT have that there is no case?
Second, is it reasonable to believe that Mr Clinton and the Mrs Lynch's private meeting could've been to inform him of some of the more complicated questions, so that he could later brief/prep Mrs Clinton for her interview on the 4th? I'm no lawyer but I can easily draw that conclusion, in my view its conflict of interest, and worse if my suspicion is true, its CORRUPTION. I'll keep watching but I'm hoping someone makes mention of how that logically makes no sense.

"Gross negligence" was at issue because the FBI didn't have the balls to call her out for what she actually did: intentionally break the law. There is nothing "convenient" about sneaking a private server into your bathroom. This wasn't a case of "carelessness" She went to great lengths and took great care to conceal her crime. But she got caught anyway and smugly announced it's not "remotely possible' for her to be prosecuted. She knows the establishment won't touch her. She is the antithesis of democracy and justice. I'd rather see Trump in the White House than Hillary. She is more dangerous. A Trump presidency will fuel this incipient revolution. And his choices will be checked and constrained by Congress. Clinton, on the other hand, gets away with murder and will continue to as president. Bernie better get this message loud and clear before a lot of his supporters turn on him. If he gets too close to her, they will, myself included.

what happened at 1:06:50 ? Just the question I always wondered about! There's a skip/edit in the video right where I particularly wanted an answer. Why did she delete the emails right after the Benghazi attack?Did she delete the emails because the Embassader wrote requesting a security detail (several times), so there would be no record of these dead Americans begging for help?Did she delete emails because it would show her writing to the Ellen show and setting up her social media appointments? All while ignoring the pleas of our American diplomats, because it would further legitimize their partner's goals in starting a political vacuum then war with Lybia?James Comey, you have solidified my belief that there is absolutely no difference between a Republican or Democrat. They both bat for the same team, and have all of your kind in their pockets. You had a chance to blow the lid off one of the most corrupt administrations in the history of the United States, instead you did what you were told and swept it under the rug.If Hillary WAS charged as she should have been, she would not have gone down by herself. She would be pointing her finger at EVERYBODY that was involved with her scheming plots, right up to and including Obama himself.Shame on you Commy. Thanks to you, America's super fahked.

There are two statutes of U.S. Code that govern perjury before Congress. Section 1621 of Title 18, often called the “general perjury” statute, prohibits individuals from lying to Congress while under oath, while Section 1001, also known as the “false statement” statute, covers testimony given while not under oath. A person convicted of perjury could face fines up to $100,000 or up to five years in jail, or both.

Questions, Mr. Director, we have questions.
#1 Mr. Comey, you said that you did not take into account "public
statements" which contradict your findings(i.e., the statements can be
shown to be false public statements). Why ignore them?
#2 Mr. Comey, you said that you did not take into account statements
made to Congress under oath on this very issue because of not having a
referral and respecting separation of powers.
Since your team determined that the law was clearly broken excepting for
perhaps lacking the requisite criminal intent . . .
. . . if you were to receive a referral from a member of Congress concerning statements made under oath which serve as basis to show that Hillary Clinton either lied to Congress, or lied to the FBI . . .
. . . will you investigate that? And if found to be factual, will you prosecute lying to Congress or lying to the FBI? And would you reopen the email server investigation to reevaluate the criminal intent aspect of that case?

    Mr. Comey:
I watched your interview with my representative, who was questioning you, on the news couple of days ago. You mentioned that Hilary Clinton should be exonerated and not convicted. You had the audacity to insult my representative by saying insolently: “LOOK AT MY EYES AND LISTEN TO ME!!!” With all due respect to your position, I would like to remind you how the constitution works in case you have forgotten. FBI is a federal law enforcement agency responsible for carrying the orders of the DOJ. Therefore, I don’t understand the reason you explicitly undermine the constitution and abuse your power. Since the Jewish lobby has announced its unanimous support for Secretary Clinton, I hope they are not running you. Therefore, as a patriot American, if you are, you are supposed to be obedient of the constitution and only enforce the law. It seems like the justice department in following your order and Clinton was not scrutinized. Are you a scar crow or the judiciary system is corrupt? Definitely both.

This public servant has a habit of not having high officials (Bush, Cheney & Hillary) to be in under oath while testifying.I have witnessed a treacherous traitor betray the American public and I'm upset with the lack of respect shown to the white stripes within our country's flag. This man has single handily put a stumbling block on the people of United States of America.

Anyone listening to this should note the following:
    1. All members of Congress, including the chair of this committee, use personal email systems, and all have access to classified information. One member states that there should be legislation to stop this, and to have the same standards apply to the legislative branch as apply to the executive branch. To do otherwise is hypocritical, and if Congress were subjected to FBI investigation, all of them would be guilty of doing exactly what Clinton did. The rules should apply to all branches of the government to protect us.
    2. Colin Powell used AOL server to transmit classified information. He has been asked to turn over emails and has not complied. Why is he not under investigation?
    3. FBI stated clearly that Clinton did not lie to them under oath, yet some of my friends deny this. It is clearly in this interview.
    4. This committe has now asked for an investigation of whether Clinton lied when she was interviewed by their committee. FBI agreed to take it on. We don't know the outcome of that since it is still in progress. Whatever the finding, I, for one, will respect it, even if it means that Bernie is the new nominee for Democrats. Quite frankly, he has a better chance of winning than Clinton does, so this committee should be careful what it asks for since they might get it.
    5. Obviously, the Secretary of State's office has some problems in classifying information and in how that information is transmitted. Surely the department should be made to come up with some standards that are enforced in the future. I think that this statement is about as non-partisan a statement as anyone on this issue has made.
    6. This whole Bengazi/email extravaganza has taken more time and money than the combined investigation of the Kennedy assasination and the 911 Terrorist attack. Eight separate congressional investigations have been done on Bengazi alone, and tens of thousands of tax dollars have been spent--not to mention the time of a do-nothing Congress.
    7. Why we as a people don't hold Congress responsible for Bengazi is beyond me, since the State Department asked for more funds to guard our embassies BEFORE Begazi but turned down the request for funding. No Secretary of State can defend our interests abroad without adequate funding, and to blame ANY Sec of State, Republican or Democrat, for failure to defend when they are not adequately funded is insidious.

Now this and the questions beforehand are probably the most important questions ever, and the fact that Director Comey answered to them "no" is all in all very concerning as a young American. The fact that they couldn't record or have a transcript, and that they didn't ask her these questions under oath is scary.

I used to work at the Foreign Technology Division at Wright-Patterson AFB. Classified information at the Top Secret level was supposed to remain always within the SCIF-rated secure part of the building. If I so much as took a TS document outside that area I might have been arrested by the security guards; I would, at the least, have been required to turn around and return the document to secure storage. If I didn't comply, I'd be either shot or apprehended and arrested. If I left the building while carrying TS in an unauthorized manner, I'd probably have been arrested and charged with espionage, which might be downgraded subsequently to a charge of criminal negligence. Hillary put it on her privately owned unsecure computer, in her home, and sent bits of it to other people by email, and neither the FBI Director nor the Attorney General wants to prosecute her at all. What makes Hillary Clinton so darn special?
I haven't heard this question so far in the hearing. _"Mr. Comey, did anyone in the government express to you-prior to your giving your recommendation to the Attorney General about whether or not to prosecute Hillary Clinton for mishandling classified information-a preference with regard to what your recommendation should be?"_
A Democratic congresswoman asked Comey whether there was any political bias in the FBI investigation, and Comey said that there was none. I agree. The FBI investigation, itself, was competently done, apparently without bias. But the investigation's procedures and findings are one thing; the FBI's recommendation to the Justice Department is something else. And I see a disconnect between those two things. The investigation, properly done as it was, found enough evidence of criminal wrongdoing by Hillary Clinton to require her to be prosecuted. Although other people might have broken the laws more egregiously than Hillary Clinton did, it is nonetheless clear that Hillary Clinton broke laws egregiously enough to be prosecuted. The bias, then, isn't in the FBI's investigation. The bias is in the recommendation that followed the investigation.
If it can possibly be done, James Comey should be investigated in regard to whether or not his recommendation to the Department of Justice was based on corrupt considerations. Did he bow to pressure, and, if so, whose? Does he have any personal reason to show Mrs. Clinton improper favor? The Romans knew about this kind of difficulty and expressed it as "Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?"
The no-prosecution recommendation by James Comey reminds me somewhat of the no-prosecution recommendation by the Solicitor of the 10th Judicial Circuit in South Carolina with regard to the police officer who fatally shot a 19-year-old driver of a Honda Civic in a Hardee's restaurant parking lot last year. The dashcam video gives evidence that the shooting was unnecessary and that the officer began lying about the circumstances about five seconds after his shots were fired. A reasonable person watching that video would probably think that the officer should be prosecuted and let a court decide the question of guilt, the seriousness of the crime, and the severity of the appropriate punishment.
But in cases like this, people in power will put themselves _in the way_, just because they can and because they have an unexpressed reason for doing it.

As I watch this... he answers the tough questions, i.e. did she receive and transmit classified emails on a NON classified server in a way that makes you think, it was no big deal. He CLEARLY has an agenda to keep her viable for the election. That makes him unworthy of his position.
