Totally understandable! There's a lot of steps involved in a long and painful process to maybe even get to around a few hundred followers. There are a few who will go so far (like you, LSToast, etc., etc., etc.) and put so much effort in to get hundreds of thousands (to even millions), but at the cost of mental health. RUclips is a difficult platform to get into, and I totally understand why you've left. I hope you go far in life... ...and i would probably have needed to follow that password advice about 8 years ago
100% RUclips is difficult to get into, I encourage everyone to upload videos for fun but as a job it can affect your mental health. I'm grateful and had fun uploading for sures, however I'd rather make changes in my life sooner rather than later :)

I usually don't comment, but when I was deep into beat saber your videos were awesome and was nice to see a more personality based beat saber CC. I've noticed that most end up having to leave cause you've got to be either super competitive (which is hard when you're constantly ageing) or you have to make videos on viral songs which usually makes little to no money. i am so glad you will be doing what makes you feel good, if not for you i would never gotten a vr headset, and thing is during the hardest time of my life my headset was my escape from depression, for all i know i might not be alive if not for you. Another thing you did for me was that i made some of my best friends through vr. and if that was too hard to read to shorten it, you helped my through depression and opened me to people i would never have met, so i am so happy you are going to do the thing that is good for you. However, after a few years, i come back to this channel, and it seems that you have quit. You dropped a crown that you need to pick up. The comeback you would make would change the beat saber commuity as it is dying. So please Bandoot, come back, bro.

I'm so glad you've decided to make an explanation video on why you've left! Just know that even if you don't do BS content as a job, you can definitely continue making any content you want for a hobby hobby and people will still be more than happy to watch and support you! Just keep yourself afloat
I'd say try Beat Saber ACC maps that are usually slower, but made to focus on those 115s or maybe try Synth Riders which uses your arms more than your wrists

I'm nowhere near the player you are, but at 58 I definitely feel the strain myself, having to stop after every few songs to use the massage gun on my forearms (trigger points that create painful "tennis elbow" in both elbows). I wistfully watch younger players like you playing at such high levels, but this game is brutal on the body and I appreciate what I'm able to do. Thank you for being such an inspiration to so many, including me!

felt that, pumped out content for years without any views going up but a few popular songs and after even just 300 hours the game is so dry i didnt even want to touch it anymore. i couldnt imagine how you feel with that many hours
I understand! Sometimes, I don’t warm up at all and go straight to expert mode (or hard Because I’m Lazy) and then instead of going off to chill out, I’d just compete on easy mode. With expert+, I try it and later realise that it goes way to fast wondering ‘How someone can physically move this fast’ I hate sports but I’m very competitive on beat saber. The other day, my right hand controlled flew out of my grasp and slammed into the radiator. RIGHT NEXT TO THE TV… luckily the TV didn’t break but I realised to be gentle with what I was doing and be non-competitive.
It's a shame to see such a great, well-known, respected person quit but I (and all other people) completely understand. I wish you good luck for the future.

Just got there, was a huge fan before and stopped playing or watching beat saber content for almost 2 years.
It was so cool to see you playing, sad to learn all of that but I understand too, it's really a struggle to be a content creator and I hope you're fine. Just wanted to say a big thank you for all these videos, it was fun, it got me to play beatsaber and challenge myself with hard songs (actually got in the top 200 in France once it was so coolll).

i am so glad you will be doing what makes you feel good, if not for you i would never gotten a vr headset, and thing is during the hardest time of my life my headset was my escape from depression, for all i know i might not be alive if not for you. Another thing you did for me was that i made some of my best friends through vr. and if that was too hard to read to shorten it, you helped my through depression and opened me to people i would never have met, so i am so happy you are going to do the thing that is good for you. Thank you for everything.

However, after a few years, i come back to this channel, and it seems that you have quit. You dropped a crown that you need to pick up. The comeback you would make would change the beat saber commuity as it is dying. So please Bandoot, come back, bro.

You're the only beat saber content creator that I watched on twitch. So it was sad when you disappeared. I hope you find a future path that you're comfortable taking. Mental battles are the hardest, but also the most important. I'm all for healthy mindsets and staying positive. I still hope you do some streams or drop a quick video sometimes if you have spare time or something.

I'm so glad you've decided to make an explanation video on why you've left! Just know that even if you don't do BS content as a job, you can definitely continue making any content you want for a hobby hobby and people will still be more than happy to watch and support you! Just keep yourself afloat
I'd say try Beat Saber ACC maps that are usually slower, but made to focus on those 115s or maybe try Synth Riders which uses your arms more than your wrists

Thank you, Bandoot, for sharing this, and for your honesty and openness. I personally appreciate your mentioning that even after stretching, you're feeling the strain in your wrists. I'm nowhere near the player you are, but at 58 I definitely feel the strain myself, having to stop after every few songs to use the massage gun on my forearms (trigger points that create painful "tennis elbow" in both elbows). I wistfully watch younger players like you playing at such high levels, but this game is brutal on the body and I appreciate what I'm able to do. Thank you for being such an inspiration to so many, including me!

Wether you continue to upload/stream beatsaber videos is up to you, you shouldn’t feel pressured to do something you don’t want to because at the end of the day it’s your life and you can chose what you do with it, thank you bandoot for all the awesome streams you have done in the past and I hope you do well in the future.

felt that, pumped out content for years without any views going up but a few popular songs and after even just 300 hours the game is so dry i didnt even want to touch it anymore. i couldnt imagine how you feel with that many hours
I understand! Sometimes, I don’t warm up at all and go straight to expert mode (or hard Because I’m Lazy) and then instead of going off to chill out, I’d just compete on easy mode. With expert+, I try it and later realise that it goes way to fast wondering ‘How someone can physically move this fast’ I hate sports but I’m very competitive on beat saber. The other day, my right hand controlled flew out of my grasp and slammed into the radiator. RIGHT NEXT TO THE TV… luckily the TV didn’t break but I realised to be gentle with what I was doing and be non-competitive.
