To whom it may concern, especially if you don't know Dreamcatcher: Scream is part 1 of the Dystopia trilogy, which is about cyber-bullying, hateful comments and people losing themselves in the (fake) online world. It is mostly showing the victim's perspective of (cyber)bullying, comparing it to a medieval witch hunt. Note the hand gesture, it is the devil's horns introduced by Ronnie James Dio as a symbol for metal, but it originally was a gesture in the middle ages to ward off the evil eye, tying into the witch hunt theme. A girlgroup tackling issues like this impresses the hell out of this old metalhead.
I thought JiU was showing off her new in-ear. Also after that JiU didn't have any lines (except the final one that's after music so it's clear and loud anyways) so she wouldn't have needed mic volume up

if i remembered it correctly then “witch hunt” is actually a term, a metaphor for the act of seeking, targeting or accusing celebrities of wrongdoings in order to spread hate and shut them down even though the celebrities are not at fault. Just like the past when people believed beautiful and talented women were witches because men were seduced and drawn to them (in fact it was just the lust men had towards them) so they seek those women out and burned them. This is what I read somewhere long time ago, I don’t know if I say this right or not, but basically this is the idea of “witch hunt”
If you read the lyric translation of Scream, you'll understand. The meaning is literally them being accused as witches, them being tied up and people throwing rocks at them.
Scream is the past, Boca the present, and Odd Eye is the future. Scream shows hate in the past, like witch hunts. Boca talk about modern hate that leads to s@icide that comes anonymously from ppl behind a mask and how they want to defend people from the hate, Odd Eye is the future and shows people thinking they find a utopia because people are nice to them online but the message is that utopia is something you find within yourself and that you can't trust everything you see online.
