Great video man. I always struggle with how many things you have to track as heavy/infantry overall. A2G, Tanks, Orbitals etc. Waiting for XMG 100 video. That things is a laser.

I arx'd this gun twice years ago but trying to use it now feels terrible. :( Recommendations?
    Nice video as per usual.

@@ThankYouForComing Personally also struggled with this a bit. I had to attempt this recording like 3-4 times to get a good enough one, been attempting the promise for like a week or two with a few almost but not good enough recordings.
Burst patterns are almost always the answer in ps2. Faster firing guns reset faster than slower firing ones. And even the xmg200 can be "ok" if you have clean bursts. Go watch my mouse overlay (im pretty sure its included this video but am on mobile and cant remember right lol this instant) and see how I rush my resets, basically avoid that lmao.
Id reccomended forcing yourself to stick with the gun for a while. Make it the only gun you use for a day or two and should FORCE some improvement. I play all 3 factions based on whoever has lowest pop, so I'd play nc one day, tr for the next 2-3, vs for the next 2, ect. But I still try and keep uploads not all the same faction in a row lmao.
Ive heard it compared to the watchman, hence my comment in The video but the watchman feels so much better, however that could be because I used the watchman a lot more.

I guess I'll just try to use it more consistently. I know they buffed it pretty hard with the compensator addition but it still feels weird due to the recoil reduction effect the Promise has. You're kind of penalized for burst firing in many instances which is super counter to literally every other gun.

funny, I'm glad I'm not the only one

Kinda missed the point of "recoil scaling" on the Promise. Good for holding lanes with the smart feeder. I don't see the advantage of using SPRW ammo unless your fighting at a distance of 50-100 meters, which would mostly be outside.
Having written that, I tried it when it first came out and went back to the regular NC lmgs. The only recommendation I would give the Promise is it's niche of recoil scaling in indoor or close range fights and that it isn't the EM1.
The power dynamic in this game is in vehicles. The amount of times I've seen infantry only base captures is practically zero.

This game was fun a long time ago but its pay to win (the "free" grind to get the premium currency is horrible and so is the regular in game currency) and the vehicles in this game are extremely oppressive and yes they are pay to win as well.

I agree vehicles are pretty anti fun.
But I don't think I agree with pay to win. I've played the game for about 2 years now and never felt like anyone had an advantage because they paid money, and currently I don't even pay for membership and play the game completely free. [Only paid money by me previously was for Skins for weapons or characters]
All of the weapons can be gained through getting certs or finishing quests for the other resource. And at least for Medic/Heavy Assault, all of the baseline starting weapons are among the best weapons available to the classes.
But I cant agree enough that despite this being a combined arms game, that the implementation of vehicles was done in a pretty anti-fun way.

definitely not pay to win. If you're having trouble its because you're doing something wrong

@@itsMerikh Perhaps they've changed their strategy, and when I played you "could" get all of the nice weapons and armor mods (or w/e) for free but it intentionally took months which encouraged players to spend money on the game to instantly get it and have an edge. Maybe after half a decade players have enough of that currency built up or maybes its easier now. Regardless it ~use~ to be pay to win - probably still is but you've played so long you no longer feel that impact.

@@theor7843 depends on how much you can play and if you focused on getting certs. If you play an hour a day on non prime times your gonna have a harder time for sure, just need to focus on cert farming then.
I played medic with revive/heal spamming and it was very good for farming certs. The slowest thing to get is level 5 implants but if you focus them one at a time rather than spreading your points over a bunch its still not awful.
There are other stats for farming certs, like farming cortium and such which i toyed with but the medic play was the one I did. Alternatively, if you've got a good kpm/kd you can just plah regularly and get good certs quite fast.
The implants augment infantry fights but don't define them. The starting guns are good for pretty much every class. If your losing even with a fresh account its basically never because of p2w or someone having something you dont. But if your trying to unlock every single weapon, implant, suit, grenade, ability, upgraded and attatchment for every class it'll take a while.
