How would you compare them to the different EMGs you tried?
Really hard comparison. It's closest to the CS EMG pickup. The thing with passive pickups is they usually over wind the bridge pickup for better balance. I didn't get that with EMG. I always struggled with the balance. It's not like these are better but I like being able to go passive if I need to.
Oh and the nordstrand are lower output. Not by a ton, but if you want louder I would go with a different Nordy model.
