Watch out for Ships! Airbus Beluga GO-AROUND during landing

  • Hamburg Finkenwerder is one of the only airports in the world where airplanes occasionaly have to go-around when a big ship passes by on the river "Elbe" at the end of the runway. The air traffic controller cleared the Beluga to land, hoping that the ship would have passed by.
    In 2018 the "Beluga XL" had it's first flight. This is a new and longer variant with new engines, capable of transporting even more airplane parts.
