'Ello ello ello, just me back again rolling the boulder up the hill trying to convince people not to break copyright laws, if its all too complicated, then just check out Epidemic sound instead :) share.epidemicsound.com/streamschemeJUN24
The biggest problem with RUclips is their copyright system is not content creator friendly. It favors the person doing the strike and makes it easy to put a claim in but not as easy to fight the claim and in fact it is super easy to make false claims and harder to combat false claims. YT has probably one of the worst systems and they need to change it.
Exactly, I get random strikes for one-second sounds in my live streams from the game I'm playing. I don't listen to music or do anything that would cause a strike, yet randomly named channels with zero subscribers strike me.
But is there any good explanation for why pretty much 100% are just listening on Spotify to whatever they want and just keep it out of the vod? Never heard anything about strikes. Is like every twitch partner suddenly permitted to use the music?
I'm a twitch partner and I've had a couple of warnings about a certain song in my stream, but it's just a heads up, I've not had a proper claim, we're allowed 3 strikes before we're nuked. I do leave my music (from di.fm) out of the vods though as I'm paranoid lol
The explanation is in the video, Strikes need to be initiated BY THE RIGHTS HOLDER. The same reason people didn't get in trouble for years, UNTIL a few years ago when suddenly hundreds of people were banned overnight, and thousands forced to delete years worth of clips and content on other platforms. It's like when you're a kid and there is a candle on the table, and you keep waving your hand over it cause its fun and dangerous, you don't get burned every time, but then you knock it over spilling hotwax on yourself and being burned, learning your lesson.
I‘m really looking forward to the twitch DJ program - finally my niche on twitch gets to stream without lurking in a legal gray area (if not in the blatant illegal zone)
I know, reading the twitch copyright page, that you are tecnically right, but I still somehow find it hard to believe that so many thousands of streamers, even big ones with 100k+ followers, are frequently using streamelements or nightbots song request feature for years without ever running into issues. How does a live strike even happen?
Someone reports you, someone posted a tweet, etc Essentially, someone just has to notice it It’s why Pokimane watched two episodes of Avatar and then got banned, but others got 30 episode episodes into death note At the end of the day being small means you might not get noticed but you’re still breaking copyright which eventually can come back to bite you and is terrible practice to get used too
Hope your well man! I have a question I never stream a game on YT before and I’m noticing in the preview of stream the quality goes to 480p max but says excellent connection. Does that mean my stream will be in 480p?
What about game ost's? I've used songs from games multiple times and I haven't had any trouble with fair usage or my stuff being copyright claimed. Would it hinder me in the future?
Do you have a video on how to split the audio? I want to listen to Spotify without having my stream hear it (it helps with my anxiety) and I cannot figure out how to do this. Every time I do it then my stream alerts no longer have sound on stream 😔
Just record don‘t add your audio as a source. And obviously don’t capture your entire sound. You can change what source Spotify goes to in your windows settings. I am using wave link to control my audio
@@emileeellemment It is for me. You just tell the app what inputs you wnat and the set that input in your windows settings for each app. then you can adjust the volumes and whether something goes to you monitor mix for yourself or the stream mix. I listen to the monitor mix and for obs I got my stream mix and additionally spotify to keep it out of vods. that's pretty much it
I don't know if this would help but if you have the option, you could try playing your music on a phone or something like alexa and turn the volume down enough so your mic doesn't pick it up?
Hello! There’s an issue going on where Twitch isn’t sending OTPS to users on the platform. I’ve been trying to login using streamlabs however no OTPS were sent. Tried everything to fix this issue. Lemme know if you know the solution to this. Thank you ❤
i noticed your camera in your live was on the left side, im sure you have said previously you should have it on the right as twitch cover that side of the preview with viewer counts, is this not the case anymore?
Any new update with the new DJ partnership with twitch, TOS is being adjusted once again with twitch and read that you now can get a copyrighted/strikes while you are LIVE,,
No changes, only changes if you apply for the DJ program. This is all still the same for non-DJs. Well, higher chance to get a strike while live now, but it was always a chance.
A lot of streamers I watch (usually with between 400 to 2000 viewers) just play normal music in the background, like Coldplay for example, and they do this for the entire stream. How do they never seem to be concerned about copyright? Am I missing something?
A lot of twitch streamers have simply forgotten that hundreds of people got banned overnight went a wave of DMCA noticed went out. It happens the same every time, hundreds of people get banned, streamers stop breaking copyright for a bit, time moves on they forget, they break copyright, hundreds of streamers get banned.
This wasn't what I was looking for, but it was good content anyway. I've been in fandom spaces for a couple of decades now, so I was already *very* familiar with Transformative in regards to Fair Use, but thanks for the guidelines on avoiding strikes.
Hey, is there any benefit giving over 8000 bitrate on twitch for 1080p 60fps? I have 50 mbps upload. or any downside for example if i give 20k bitrate?
I dont like dmca. I think its all about the money. It is overly strict and i dont think it benefits the artist, the label that owns the rights, the streamer/creator, or the viewer.
You don't have to like it, but if you want to be a content creator, you'll be protected by DMCA either way. If you ever get big enough to be successful, you'll be glad that systems are in place to stop people using your content without permission.
I got a copyright claim on a Fortnite video from this random thing in game that drove past me playing some Metallica song, I was honestly so baffled how that got flagged but luckily RUclips’s editor features cut it out for me, but still very harsh with the detection system.
I got copyrighted by playing a Lego Hobbit due to its music it was considered copyrighted. It also happens in Fortnite with the background music so how can I stop this from happening
Eljay I really need your help when someone writes a message in chat the message appears in the chatbox on stream with a delay of 10 seconds and I have low latency on. What should I do?
@StreamScheme Can you unban from your stream discord, I drop my stream in the twitch help section. Just wanted someone to drop by and check to see if my all my audio was working. Then poof I noticed I was removed.

I can explain very quickly. do you use OBS?
@@average-jackIve been trying to figure it out too please help me !! I use obs
We are here to help! We make music that is royalty free. We are independent and allow everyone to use our music in their videos.

hey could you do a tutorial on the hyper x quadcast ? its picks up my background even with the nvidea noise removal
I have a video about setting up a $10 mic, it’ll be the same for the hyper X cause it’s built like every other cheap mic just with RGB

Will using Spotify and having parts of vod muted due to DMCA affect when applying for partner with twitch ?
Well it puts you at risk of full copyright strikes, and three strikes will delete your entire channel so yes
How about streaming sports games with stream east ? Would me using that cause me to get a strike on twitch ?
This video is good and all but how do you get the music to play
I want to do karaoke rly bad, have had several requests for it. Is there any way to do karaoke safely on twitch?
why am i seeing all these big streamers kai cenat, and all they above use copyrighted music and sounds and get away with it. It makes no sense to me?
I see so many people playing music on twitch they say nothing ever happened to them
Dmca are usually for big streamers if you smaller streamer with barely 20 viewers your pretty much good
so generally how people do listen to any music they want on twitch streams without copyright strikes and other shit ?
Listen to royalty safe or copyright safe music from services like epidemic sound
Anyone know any Spotify lowfi playlists that are actually copyright free? I've been using a couple but now I'm not sure

Yes sadly.

Sadly it’s on the devs, best you can do is mute in game music
@@StreamScheme it was muted when I was speaking not the music in the game like my voice was the copyright

Literally every streamer uses normal music in their streams and never get anything except a mute. Not saying it's right but yea

if you're not saving vods and only playing on live . is that still a issue with claims etc
