The amazing part is that this cover is an Instagram challenge from fans. She learned the song in a few hours. That is why the exclaimed *YES!* at the end.
The Warning truly loves their fans. Paulina is a firecracker and a genius, Dany is full of energy and passion that just makes you pay attention to her on stage. And Ale is really coming into her own growing into who she wants to be. She's the glue to the group.

Pau is a unicorn. Great singer, drummer and pianist. Prolific songwriter. And her magnetic performance on stage draws you to the drums or the keyboards. There are only a handful of musicians on the planet with her level of talent. Decades from now she will be listed among the greats.

Not only is she a prolific songwriter, she is a music producing genius. She is responsible for producing all of the live shows. She does it from a software program on her laptop that she programs. All the media used during the Queen of the Murder Scene tour was her setting up and timing properly. She's got click tracks and midi's preprogrammed. The proper settings for the bass guitar and lead guitar for each song are preprogrammed. She did an interview during the pandemic with a rocker youtube guy that had reviewed some of their songs. It was a great interview and really showed off their personalities. These young ladies are going to be around for a long time because they born for this. They love this but also their parents have them grounded and have a safe space for them when they need it.
She's a force of nature!

You mentioned the Berklee School of Music. Did you know that the three sisters attended a summer program there back in 2015? Paulina was only 13 back then and little sister Ale was 10. I believe that the minimum age for the program is 15, so the two younger ones qualified with their talent.

All three girls excelled in their design classes what is more impressive Ale had a extreme high IQ Luis ( Dad ) did not wanted Berklee to post it on their FB page what Berklee did was to recommend Dr Bret Simmons of TEdX of U of Nevada they did two presentations it’s a must see a good way to meet the girls as persons ! Ellen paid for it. Ellen is a bit of a douche but that was a nice thing for them. They came back a year ago I think it was, and played some of the Mayday EP.
The 3 girls from The Warning confirmed that they have been working with a vocal coach for several years and you can hear it in the progress of their vocals.

Funny you mention Berklee. They attended the five week program a few years ago and even though Pau was 13 and Ale was only 10, they were still accepted into that program.

Paulina's performance here is certainly very special. She has pulled this off on a few other past album tracks as well. The two new releases, "Choke" and "Evolve" from the thrid album both feature great vocals from older sister, Daniela, that you may find worth a listen.

Every time I see this it just sounds better and better, I'm amazed at Pau with a piano two hands and a powerful voice that she produces such a beautiful song like this one.

If you want to continue on the theme of dynamics, then Black Holes is a great choice (from the Dakota Bar) or Shattered Heart (from the Whisky a GoGo in 2020). If you want to highlight their most current stylings, skip right ahead to Evolve. All are available on their YT channel.
Definite second for Black Holes in particular. For their latest, I think Choke might be a better choice here.

I believe you would very much enjoy this, an informal performance Pau did at the piano of three of The Warning's songs (Black Holes, Stalker, and The End): ruclips.net/video/FSDRCFQ5VEE/видео.html. She sings Black Holes and The End, but Dany sings Stalker in concert. The background is that they do activities for their Patreon supporters; Dany on Friday, Pau on Saturday, and Ale on Sunday (so they refer to Dany Day, Pau Day, and Ale Day respectively, and have some amusing arguments about which day is the "best" day). They're usually, but not always, musical (e. g. one day Pau baked a cake). Sometimes they do things like take challenges from fans; Dany and Pau have both done that this year (short clips from many pieces, Dany singing, Pau on piano). This was a Pau Day a while back. This is the family piano, where they all started learning the instrument around age 4 or 5, and where Pau starts composing most of their songs.

You might really appreciate a piano reduction that Dany and Pau did of Dull Knives (one of their classic hard rockers). This was a Patreon request from a while back when they offered a reward of an acoustic song for their top tier patreons. It has a bit of a late Classical feel to it, perhaps later period Beethoven, to my ear. As usual, Pau makes a little mischief at the very end. ruclips.net/video/AuPDYrYcjh4/видео.html. They are fantastic on acoustic instruments. A lot of "unplugged" rock songs have more of a folk feel to them than I personally enjoy (compare Neil Young's acoustic vs. borderline metal Hey Hey, My My), but they can get a very hard feel -- or a classical feel, when they so choose -- on acoustic instruments.
BTW ! A must see Pau doing Black Holes on piano live with her two sisters as background instruments she wrote this song at the age of 13 yrs it’s about addiction also showing the like also on Piano
Hey Valerie. I'll start by saying that Pau can very nearly do no wrong in my eyes (and ears). For close to a year now I have upgraded her from my favorite female drummer to favorite young genius.
Both her piano playing and her vocals are full of both passion and subtle artistry. Lots of great choices.
I've heard lots of great versions of this song, many very singer-y. None that I like better.
This was part of a challenge. Her fans chose this song for her to record. She learned the song and recorded it in a couple hours and posted it back on the platform for them the same day.

Very nice review with interesting points focussing on vocal techniques… Pau has a superb breath control… even as a drummer she sings lead in some songs! And she writes most of her bands songs! She is a great musician! 👏👍

Paulina is so impressive on many levels. Love her vocals. And the fact that she sings while drumming very energetically, as is her style, means she must have amazing stamina. You'd think that pounding the drums like that, it'd be hard to control your breath for singing, but Pau just does it like it's no big deal. 😮

She learned this song that day. That's why she was excited at the end. It was an Instagram challenge she got a few hours before this.
Pau is a true empath. She is the writer of most of The Warning's original songs, which usually start as ballads worked out on the piano before Dany and Ale collaborate on the "rockification" as Dany calls it. Listen to Pau's performances of *23* and *Revenant* and *Survive* from the August 29, 2022 concert at Teatro Metropolitan in Mexico City. They are breathtaking. All 22 songs from that concert are so well done.

I absolutely love this review. You really seemed to understand what she was doing her. That she was pushing herself and this was more like a voice lesson than a full pre-practiced performance. I just love how you point out the good stuff and aren't just ripping her apart. Pau is the sweetest person but so full of life and passion and fun.

PS: This is an original composition and is a heavy piece. Despite that,she’s smiling in the beginning when she realizes that the audience has joined her in singing.
Excellent observation... I don't necessarily prefer unplugged but it really helps to know the true artist. Pau is probably in top 5 of all time rock drummers. I have personally seen the other 4 live. Same with Dany & Alejandra in their respective instrumental lanes.
They still haven't conquered lead Singers with no instruments singing. How can they not play full time & just sing. This song X Pau was absolutely brilliant.
All the nuances in the phrasing in this performance is more remarkable when you consider English is not her first language.
Yeah I know Dani is the lead singer most of the time. But for pure power and clarity, I love Pau's vocals. You get 150 percent whether singing, drumming, keyboards. Just my preference nothing against her sister
