She may have been hard faced and toffee nosed, later as the series progressed, Ruby suddenly learned how to live without her caviar (that wasn’t pot noodle)
@@peterwilliamskelhorn6675 wasn’t what I meant, she lived a life where she could afford the caviar. She was upset as her husband kept his money trouble to himself.
Unpopular opinion, but I think Ruby Fry is a great character and I love her. Sure she was annoying, rude and snobby, but her storylines in Series 5 and 6 were great with her diazepam addiction, jealousy over Rachel and Adam, and adopting Janeece’s baby. She may not be the best person, but in a show like Waterloo Road, I think she’s brilliant.
"I suppose my life is one big joke, isn't it?" reminds me of "twenty years I've been teaching that. It was time for a change" by Christine during her Delirium Tremens.
I'll be honest, there were moments like this where I did actually respect the no nonsense approach Max had when dealing with ridiculous situations. At least he knew how to handle Ruby's childish, snobby temperament.
It's Max's fault he caused Ruby to have a mental breakdown. I blame that cockroach for Ruby being paranoid and her financial well-being was in shambles.

I don’t think either of them is blameless here. Ruby was pretty foolish if she was too frivolous but from what I can see here she had no idea they were going under, and that IS John’s fault in the sense that he didn’t tell her anything, even outright lied and said everything was fine.
Helen Hopeless sitting down like the other students was too funny. 💀
The actress who plays Hopewell also played Rita Rytka in that Yorkshire Ripper drama many years back
@@deusvultpictures6550No one can doubt her acting, but the character was really pathetic
Having nothing builds character. That was certainly the case for Ruby. After this she hit rock bottom but came up trumps by the end of series 6.
The way Ruby said “Issues” at 5:40 is absolutely posh 😂😂😂
6:00 the "Zero Tolerance for Bullying" poster in Max's office makes me laugh 😂

She was one of my favourites
I hated her at first, but she had great character development and I ended up really liking her.
5:05 Relatable
3:26 Paul Langley rolling his eyes up at the hopeless Helen Hopewell! CLASS!

Facts! When I was young I hated him on a rewatch after maturing you realise and understand discipline

I would sit down and hug the teacher, I’d do the same I always break down like that.
Max Taunts Ruby and unwittingly mocking her over her mental state
It’s sad we live in a world where money runs us, doesn’t matter how hard you work anymore either
That's the whole of human existence, bud.
That's why I don't work hard 😂
Damn that same guy was in the harry potter movies and game of thrones.
He also played one of the best Cids in Final Fantasy history and will soon voice probably the most powerful villian in the Marvel Universe.
Who did he play in Harry Potter?
@@007spudman he played Amycus Carrow in Half-Blood Prince.
Never mind the Kardashians, this has all the drama I need
