- In this latest development update, the team has made significant progress across various aspects of the game. The Allosaurus' abilities have been refined, and the Tyrannosaurus has received balance adjustments for its movement and hunting mechanics. Migration and Patrol Zones can now have custom shapes, improving biome accuracy.
On the animation side, Elder Morphs are finally in the works, the Kentrosaurus is well underway, and the Baryonyx is being rigged. Meanwhile, the environment team has enhanced the GUTS structures and is working on a massive sauropod holding pen.
QA has been tackling major bugs, including audio issues, AI glitches, and persistent weather sounds. The new Friend Spawn Code system is also undergoing extensive testing, making it easier for players to join their friends.
Production-wise, the team is revisiting shelved mechanics, refining existing dinosaurs like the Hypsilophodon and Herrerasaurus, and preparing for an upcoming horde test. The Baryonyx is next in line, and improvements to terrain navigation and non-jumping carnivores are in progress.

They’ve been doing it bud rex has over 800 animations and it’s been priority for a year and a quarter and that’s not even the only playable that’s currently priority,just cuz they don’t show doesn’t mean they aren’t working.
@@user-so6dy2rq4vyou try developing 4 playables that require 200-300 sounds god who knows how many sounds along with models and balancing for their growth stages with only 10 people and limited resources,it doesn’t take a cook to know when food is bad but theirs no way you think that’s easy.
@@Moon_Knight-w6i Are you actually defending them only being able to complete 2 animations per day? Because that's what the math equals out to for 1 year. You just mentioned 1 year and a quarter so that means they've been doing less than 1 animation per 8 hour work day. That's absolutely pathetic. Especially considering they have multiple animators working on the same dino.
@@kenshinhimura9387 they definitely don’t do a single animation a day you realize the amount of time they work won’t always be equal,they could get dozens of animations done in a day or less than 10 and we don’t even know how many animations they get done in a day and+rex isn’t the only thing being worked on we have like 5 almost boutta be 6 different playable currently being animated.

Giga won’t be for a while but rex and trike will be before June likely late feb or early next month.

@@ppgod6989 rex and trike only need a handful of animations for sparring until their ready for testing,this was said by the devs not by me.

Personally I am very excited for Austro, I like semi aquatics and just the general style and look that Austro has. I hope it will be capable at fighting back against some of the other small tiers like Omni, Herrera, or smaller Dilos instead having to run away every time there is a confrontation.

I played The Isle on a laptop at less than 30fps for years. I finally bought a new desktop PC with a nvidia rtx 4K graphics card and now the game runs very well at around 100fps. Perfect framerate and better graphics quality than most games. Now I'm really enjoying every moment I play The Isle, also seeing that after so many years the devs are constantly updating it is amazing🐊🦖🦕
Very excited for a heavier carnivore like allo and rex, herbies are just a smidge to OP to take on in a 1 on 1 with the carnivores we currently have at our disposal. Very excited for the 2025 updates

Pretty eager to see Austroraptor in action.
We finally will truly have a murder duck but I'm curious about its stats and abilities. We saw it's got some kicks in there.
Although, I'm wondering; Austro doesn't seem to have grippers like Omni does, which leads me to think it's not a pouncer and likely neither a bleeder.
It seems smaller than an Omni as well, something in-between Herrera and Omni weight-class-wise ? It seems like it will be extremely agile and decently speedy, much more than Omni from my observation, I wonder if it can semi-glide to avoid/reduce fall damage.
This might end up more of a scavenger/fisher carnivore I guess ?
Edit: I just re-watched, we can see its hands in a short window they're just mostly all hidden beneath its plumage, how discreet. This may open the window to pouncing.
Austro kicks are likely lunges in the water like deino has, it’s likely going to pounce more like herra where it’ll jump on its target

It does make sense because after looking into the Legacy Austroraptor, its weight was 250 kgs. It doesn't leave a lot of the roster for it to pounce though, like.. what Herrera ? Troodon ? Dryo ? Hypsi ? And well I guess juvenile versions of others, it might not be that short of selection after all.
I kind of dig the potential symbiosis Austro might have with Deino.
Edit: After re-looking into the concept arts, I agree even more, it seems like Austro will rely much more on their legs to weaponize as defensive and hunting tools.
It also shows a scene where an Austro seemingly spots a Deinosuchus by some means. Its kicks might even be able to knockback smaller targets than itself like Teno can or Galli.
Yes it’s gonna be more of a fisher/graceful swimmer than a fighter it seems. It might throw talons with beipi and smaller creatures/babies but it’s not gonna be attacking much I don’t think.

As much as I like the game they should drop the human side and they would already have a massive player base for the dino's not many want humans.
Personally I think humans would be a great addition because it will add the missing horror factor to ervima.

@@saltycrakcers With rex being 95% complete i'd say this is a drag, probably coming out in 1-2 months for hordetesting. Only thing the devs need to finish before they test rex is animations with sparring. And after developer testing, comes public testing.
@ Good to know! I usually over estimate to not get hopes up since the devs like to change things around often, but when you put it like you did, it seems HT will be coming pretty soon!

I know how to recognize a game with great potential, and I won’t act ungratefully. I’ve been following this game since its early days, with over 3,000 hours of playtime, and yet every time I start a session even today, even with so many hours on the cloc ,I still enjoy every moment, whether it’s the immersion or the combat. Sure, development is taking time, but the goals are ambitious. These developers are doing quality work; they’ve been improving and expanding the game for years without asking us to pay for it. Denying that or failing to acknowledge it feels like ingratitude to me.
Moreover, we’ve now reached the point where the game is truly taking shape, and its appeal is about to skyrocket with the arrival of the Apex.

@@senstudioanimation to me the actual talented people of this game are its artists. From 2D to 3D, from visual to audio. Programmers while doing honest work, they're not doing quality work compared to the other games ive seen and their artist colleges. They are however outnumbered.
And the owner of the game is a self-righteous piece that cannot go around without making a snarky comment about his community. Though it is worth mentioning that i havent been following the development personally for over a year so take these with a grain of salt.

What is ridiculous is your expectation of paying $20 for a game and demanding the devs work 24/7. Game is fun as is and with time, they will iron out the bugs and polish it. Give it time or become a game dev and apply to work for free to help them move along.

I keep hearing this rhetoric about the devs but then remember other similar games (survival) have VERY toxic communities. These guys pump out updates every other week? Like give these dudes a break… they have lives to live. Don’t know other devs that give out so much info to the community.
You also paid like $20 for the game. Demanding ANYTHING is just ludicrous
right maybe ten fuckin years from now we will see rex, allo or idk any of the other dozen animals they said would be in the game by now
I gave up on this game. Too many hackers. If this game ever gets some decent community servers, it'll be worth coming back. But officials aren't worth it.
