Nice but if carving there Andy, lovely piece of dead wood, you have really worked hard to get those trees in place correctly mate, look forward to the next one. Just wondering if you remember which trees go in which groove haha 😅 The old bonsai masters used stainless steel nails or screws on the bigger ones to attach the trees in place, then cover the screw with a small piece of bark to hide them seems like a good idea to me.
That’s great info Joe thanks. I’m going to get a nail gun for it, so should be a little better than the old style with hammer and nail. 😂😂 I will definitely remember the bark trick Joe that sound like a good plan. Joe as it’s such a soft ish wood Is there a wood hardener that can be used on it a non toxic one. Obviously I’ll be using lime sulphur o no it. Really want to stave off rot !! Thanks loads for the tips Joe 👍👍
Loved the music line up and the carving, for me it was very cathartic whilst i was sipping my coffee. You certainly have the magic eye with that carving, very beautiful. Loved the spalting in the wood too. Are you gonna gett all of those Larch in the composition?
Yeah every one will be used in some way Jon. Got 2 years of growing then I’ll sort branches and start ramification on them but first git to Finnish it 😂😂
Sweet mate Takes a bit of getting used to but once you got the hang of it. I would practice on a piece of wood first then practice again before you start. You have the skill for it mate, no doubt 👍👍👍👍👍
Super glue is my go to as it sinks into the wood rather seal the surface other than that Ronseal is good but sits on the surface as I said. Good luck with whatever you decide.
I was actually thinking that on my 3rd coat of sulphur that I’ll add wood glue with the water and sulphur. But I’ll test that on a piece I have first. 🤷♂️ would there be any problems in that 🤷♂️??
Andy mate that was wicked loved it
Thanks Steve 👍👍
Can't wait to see this grow!

Einfach nur klasse sehr schön

As you say try it first the wood glue would have be water based or it won’t mix with either.
Yeah deffo mate tell you what.
I’ll do a little 5 min experiment video on it joe. Might be interesting 🤔
Thanks for the advice mate your a star 👍👍👍
