No point using debuffs (e.g. Curse) if you're almost instantly dispelling them with your own attacks (Orb of Lightning). Also, once you were done upgrading all the skills you were interested in, you should have unlearned Feedback and get a new skill instead. Even if the new skill was also bugged, there was a good chance you might have found one that was better than Feedback at 1st level (e.g. Elune's Grace).

Also imo "Fire"hand Gauntlets would be a fitting (hero wise) and better item than the circlet.

And the gauntlets would have been luck based to get so i dont blame him on wasting time on something thats not a guarantee as much as i would of liked
