Would've been a 1,200+ a-year rusher, too...If Buddy Ryan had built an effective offensive line. Oh, well. Byars should have stuck with #42. Looks better on a feature back.
@@JAWrightonline If your a Eagles fan you remember the epic Byars block on Pepper Johnson of the Giants in Week 11 1990? Almost knocked him out of his shoes, maybe the best and most momentum building Block I ever saw. That’s what Keith Byars could do for his team. Like I said too he was left handed and could throw the occasional pass out of the backfield, great arm, great player.
@@rustykuntz94 Too bad Roger Goodell outlawed that kind of block. Keith Byars and Anthony Toney delivered them perfectly for Randall as he was flushed out of the pocket many times.
@@JAWrightonline Loved Toney too, that team had such talent. Quick and a young Carter with Garrity at WR. Keith Jackson was a All Pro TE they gave up on too early. Stupid Rich Kotite came in after Buddy and messed up the offense and then they name him HC?! He was a disaster with the Jets running their offense (and then later also HC)...I know I'm mentioning guys that came along in 87/88 but consider them all part of the Buddy era....then of course the Fog Bowl screwed up everytyhing, I thought that game could have def been won if not for all the mistakes in that first half and penalties/dropped balls...then the Fog
The worst offensive line in the history of professional football. ONE HUNDRED FOUR sacks allowed. Not to mention being demoralized by having to go up against Reggie White in practice.
Loved Keith ByARS, solid running back, could catch it out of the backfield, good blocker & could throw a helluva left handed option pass

@@JAWrightonline I agree! Opposite of Reggie White who looked so awkward his rookie season in #91 before switching to the classic 92….
