- Thousands gathered at Béal na Bláth to commemorate the centenary of the death of Michael Collins.
In a historic ceremony, both Taoiseach Micheál Martin and Tánaiste Leo Varadkar spoke at length about the importance of Collins to Irish history and the legacy he left behind.
Applauding their abusers like ignorant lemmings. Ignorant of history & reality...

don't fall into populist propaganda lad, it's embarrassing.
@cianw2942 Not as embarrassing as continuing to believe 'big daddy government' cares about me. But you do, you...
No one inside or outside of Ireland did more for ireland.freedom tom Barry
One fascist terrorist psychopath praising another? How surprising!
Barry ran the brits around in circles.
@@merrybutcher2978 He sure RAN! Ran away an awful lot and told tall stories of victories that turned out to be UTTER NONSENSE! He was fascist, cowardly murderer and you know it.
@@MrLorenzovanmatterho Michael Collins didn't achieve an independent Ireland.majority of volunteers were against the treaty and collins
Barry was the best
We're still waiting for the Irish republic
Get the fuck mate '' they were boood to bits
It is now a EU vassal state. No wonder we had boo! What would Collins or DeValera have thought of it all?

Reconsilated with what.. we are all goin to end up stiffies, one way or another.. stop listening to Mickey M, and the Past. Life is always now, and it flows swiftly.

It always make me sick when they break into Irish when they would GAG to say the words "May his faithful soul sit at the right hand of God".
Say THAT in English, can't.
Uou dont have to be chatolic to be irish...in saying that fuck the goverment tho
Collins was killed in his first gun battle
As opposed to you battling it out on RUclips.
He was in the GPO during the Easter Rising.
@@Ligerpride he didn't take part in any of the fighting.
@@shredder9536 what was he doing then? Playing table tennis?
@@Ligerpride he was an aide de camp. No evidence he fired a shot at the Brits in his life. Emmett Dalton who was with him at Beal na Blath said if he had experience in battle he wouldn't have been killed
Michael Collins was Knowere near the greatest Irishman that ever lived his knowere near the greatest corkman let alone irish man.
I really think you must be from the moon or I don't understand what you mean. Michael Collins was a true fighter, fighting to free our country from the Brits that made life hell for Ireland. We had them for 800 years and fought all that time.Maybe you are living on the moon or was never in Ireland before. My father fought on the side of Michael and when he heard Dev talking on the radio he said (shut that B**tard up)you haven't a notion what you are talking about. Up the Republic .
Yes he was the Greatest
@@maureenmccarthy4204 Michael was one in a million, we would still be under British Rule if Rebel Cork & Men like him weren't there. My Father was with the Rebels in Cork & fought with them. He could tell my brother Michael all about this. When Dev came on the radio in later years he used to say " shut that BAST**D up. My father was a great man, honest & decent and he knew what he was talking about.
OMG He was not only the greatest Cork Man but the best in the Republic. Not that yank Dev.
