It went like this: Local MTB club organiser - 'Let's plot a duff route and see if that Willis bloke is daft enough to try it on his gravel bike' Local MTB club members - 'Nah, he'd never fall for that one' Local MTB club - 'hahahahahaha, he actually did' Good vid Simon, entertaining as always. I always think comparing against your past bests on Strava can be a bit of self destruction. Even if you are slower now, what does that really mean? Less fit? less motivated on that day? Do you feel older or less fit? Don't let data destroy a happy mind!
That's very true Mike. I've come to terms with a PB desert. However, I do like to keep checking my progress or lack of it - benchmarking - on a couple of routes. Oh and the organiser is a youngster (to me) who lives nearby. I'll have words... 😀

At 56 and a leisure athlete I’m happy to have 5 cycling and 1 running KoM/CR 👍🏽 Also had Senior moments forgetting to restart Garmin etc 😂

The 'Kingairloich loop' is one of the best rides local ride, whichever way around you do it.
