Thanks so much for posting this! I felt it put some definitions and verbs to concepts that I already vaguely understood but wasn't able to put as much intention behind until now.
I've noticed that I prefer to work on game design ideas while sitting at the living room gaming table (with lots components from other games) instead of at the computer. I find that there are way too many distractions on the PC / mobile device. I got myself an E Ink tablet and now I write my notes in there. Also, for some reason I play in a specific chair at the table, but when working on game design I'll be sitting on another chair. Didn't think about it in way of Consumption vs Creation :)
I do wish you could produce videos that aren't so long. I generally don't watch when I see a video 'discussion' is an hour long, plus or minus. I know there are useful nuggets of info in your material, but, gosh... why indulge yourself by letting it run so long and not editing it down? Just my take on it.
Brilliant discussion that I want to share with other creative people in my life. The blurring of the intention of spaces is so spot on.

FANTASTIC video. Great notes here. Much appreciated.
Amazing video Gabe! Thanks for posting this.
So many pearls of wisdom. Thank you.
Great information, not just for game design but really for anything. I took so many notes from this that will really make an impact. Thanks Gabe!
This is what I'm hoping to hear (an ad's rolling), balancing game design with other creative passions and hobbies, budgeting time.

Kudos on home schooling your children.
