- So after Sukuna's rampage in the Shibuya Incident and Toji leaving the scene after bullying his son Megumi, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 has not let up with awful moments for some the characters. Some might say worse things are on the horizon, especially with the impending doom coming from a disaster curse level threat like Mahito still freely roaming around shibuya. My question is, what if Toji Zenin or Toji Fushiguro depending on your preference ran into Mahito in Shibuya? Could Toji defeat Mahito or would Idle Transifiguration Work on Toji ? Toji vs Mahito is a great fight to theorise about so I'm going to talk all about Mahito vs Toji in this video!

Todo's Boogie woogie makes fights exponentially more difficult to react to, when you add the fact that Mahito said his soul was in "20%" because of Nobara fucking him up, that means that the Mahito they where fighting "comfortably" was on 1/5 hp and tired already, and even then he was fucking them up

Toji at shibuya would have a hard time because he can’t damage souls and doesn’t have the Cursed energy to defend against idle transfiguration.

Mahito is my favorite villain in JJK but Toji (his body specifically) is the only one to overpower the soul. So I think it’s safe to say he has a type of resistant to idle transfiguration

His body overpowered the soul of someone weak. Mahito doesn't have to inflict damage to the soul though, he can just straight up change the shape. He can literally give Toji cursed energy and undo his Heavenly Restriction.

Not really. Jogo is at similar speed as Toji. Toji will be a bit faster probably, but not that much.
@@football360_slik I think 'similar' is being a bit generous to Jogo. We know from the manga that old man Naobito with both arms is faster than Jogo. And we also know that prime Toji destroys prime Naobito plus the entire Zenin clan, so I think it's fair to say that Jogo's speed is outclassed by Toji's. Not as much as the other disaster curses though.

@@dmajorray6154 Dagon said he might be *as* fast as Jogo. He is also slower and got his ass handed to him it's likely he does not know how to evaluate speeds that much above him. Jogo also killed the person in question by out speeding him. It's also true that the other person with this technique also out sped maki. Roughly at least close. So no Jogo be quite fast. Maybe Toji has a chance still but still I don't think there's a blitz here. Tbf tho Jogo seems significantly stronger than the other disaster curses. I think you can tell this by their intelligence. Like how Dagon usually can't talk and can't tell how strong Toji is, how Hanami can't fully speak in regular tongue, how Mahito doesn't have any plans but just attacks as he pleases, and how Jogo actively plans to take over the place of humanity and contacts Kenjaku to help him.

Main problem obviously not having soul splitter meaning hed have to continue beating on mahito until he runs out of cursed energy where he may be able to adapt enough to continue evolving and figure out something to counter heavenly restriction or touch toji multiple times to begin distorting his body and wearing it down.

Mahito requires CE to use Soul manipulation and heal, and after taking 15 min of ass whopping by Toji he will run out of CE and beg for his life
Toji is aware of the soul because he can use the soul spliter in its max potencial, which requires being aware of the soul

I was about to beat this argument the way Toji beat up Ino's face but I guess I was late to the party. But just to add, if Dagon's shikigami (even the giant ones which are bigger than what Mahito has shown capable of transforming) did not even slow down Toji to allow Dagon a good breath, then really Mahito has nothing. This is just a mismatch.
It was pretty clearly stated in chapter 198 that Toji/Maki can see the outline of a soul. This means that Toji's attacks would have full effect of Mahito and he could just beat him to death like Yuji did. It would take like a minute, not an hour. Probably 2 seconds if he has his soul liberation blade sword which directly cuts the soul.

Domain Expansions don't have one hit kills. They have guaranteed hits. He's protected from the "can't miss" effect of domain expansions. He doesn't have blanket immunity from their effects though. If he walked into Sukuna's domain, he would be shredded just like anyone else because it's not targeting anyone, it's attacking everything within the area without discrimination.
Domain expansion that actually have one hit kill is higaruma domain however the enemy must be sentenced to death to have executioner sword which kill even in slightest hit

@raidenfloureal2457 uh no? There are two things every Domain Expansion has. That's the guaranteed hit effect and a stat Amp for the user. If you mean only a few have one hit kill effects, then no you're still wrong. The domains still don't have automatic kill effects. A lethal domain can potentially one hit kill someone due to the nature of the guaranteed hit causing the technique to not miss. No domain expansion has an outright automatic kill effect. The only exception, may be Jogo, but that only happens because of the extreme heat, and only to weak people.
Heavenly restriction aside, this version of Toji is explicitly stated to have not had his soul channelled by the CT. Idle transfiguration either has nothing to hit, or is just hitting the sould of the guy whose body Toji took over which isn't really going to harm Toji anyway.
Yeah i’m pretty sure cause of his heavenly restriction, her seance technique which can summon info on both the body and soul couldn’t overwrite tojis body as his heavenly restriction suppressed even the soul of that grandmas grandson who she used to resurrect toji within. Basically soul hax or manipulation doesn’t affect heavenly restricted users in the series like toji/maki

@@timelost7055 It would be a battle to see who dominates the guy's soul harder, Toji or Mahito. In which case, Toji wins simply because changing the soul doesn't necessarily strengthen its ability to resist Toji's control.
The way I see it, Mahito using his technique on a normal person is like molding a ball of clay, but trying to use his technique on Toji would be trying to do the same to a rock.
Friendly reminder that the soul splitter necessitates that the user understand the nature of souls, which would be a pretty good argument to justify Toji being able to eliminate Mahito without it.
This could also justify a potential extra reason for Toji being able to resist idle transfiguration.
That doesn't DEFEND you from Idle Transfiguration. All the times Yuji fought Mahito, he was Sukuna's vessel.
That was what kept Mahito from packing up Yuji with Idle Transfig.

Nanami was doing everything he could just to defend himself and that was against a Mahito that was a week old. The heroes aren't the only ones who gain power or understanding of their technique.

Domain expansion doesn’t work on people with no cursed energy unless they agree to the terms of the domain. The only way people like Toji and Maki can be trapped within a domain is if the domain uses a psychical structure like a building or train station like the fish guy did in Shabuya. Which is confirmed in the manga. Mahitos domain uses cured energy to form itself so toji wouldn’t be affected by it
I definitely think people don’t realize how much more monstrous Shibuya Toji is. He has very little of his ego remaining and is essentially a Terminator, since he’s acting on mostly instinct; his body will make the most optimal decisions without having a clouded or emotional thought behind it. Top that with all of his insane stats he’s borderline untouchable. Mahito would have to somehow find a way to be faster than a dude he scales to like 11-14f Sukuna in just raw stats alone. Unlike Mahito, Toji will pretty much never get tired or winded, he’ll kill Mahito as many times as it takes.
Toji doesn’t scale any where near 11 or 12f sukuna buddy 😂. Megumi literally said in their fight that Toji is similar in speed to the 3f sukuna he fought back at the school. Ppl also forget that sukuna’s fingers are multipliers in power as they grow stronger by the day. Therefore a sukuna going from 10 fingers to 11 is far more powerful than a sukuna going from 1 finger to 3. Sukuna is literally shown and implied to be the fastest character in the entire verse apart from Gojo probably as he has teleportation. No one is even close to even half a full powered sukuna in terms of speed in the entire verse apart from Gojo
Current maki is at least relative to 15f sukuna and current maki is = If not a bit stronger than toji. Toji has to be either relative to 15f sukuna or at least be around 12-14f sukuna. Mahito getting washed.

Mahito's domain may be able to use souls as "targets" for the sure-hit effect. Just a theory, but it sounds possible since he can feel people's souls, including the position, even out of a domain.
I’m pretty sure it explain some where in the manage that de don’t affect toji or maki. This is due to them having no cursed energy. To the domain expansion there something like an inanimate object that’s dragged into the domain. Thus the sure hit effect doesn’t even recognize them as a target. It be a waste of cursed energy to mohito to use his domain expansion.

You're misunderstanding. The only thing that doesn't affect them is the can't miss property of the domain, because it uses cursed energy to lock onto the target. It doesn't stop the effect of the domain. If he stepped foot into the radius of Malevolent Shrine, he'd be cut to ribbons.@@josiahgreene6712
@@daetheI think comparing any domain to malevolent shrine is a bad comparison. MS doesnt even create a barrier so it would surely kill even heavenly restriction users. But most domains have barriers like Mahitos and as stated in the manga people with Heavenly restriction cant be dragged inside a domain because only people or things with cursed energy are registered by the domain. So guy above is right that Mahito would just waste CE or worse lose his CT for a few minutes since you cant use your CT after using a domain. That would surely end in Toji winning.
Toji can't beat Mahito, he doesn't have the Split Soul Katana. Without that Katana, or Mai's replica, he cannot damage the soul and thus will be unable to kill him. Mahito will win because Toji won't even be able to flee as he's not fully in control of the body.@@mirnasilla7423
here's a thought. I assume the way domains ensure hits is by targeting the cursed energy of its inhabitants with exceptions built in depending on the user (ex: domains excluding the sorcerer that casts them from the sure hit and gojo sparing anyone he touches). In sukuna's domain, one of his slashes targets inanimate objects and one targets people (like a normal domain). I assume this is an extended interpretation of his technique that allows him to do this. I feel like maki and toji would prolly count as inanimate objects in his domain if my assumption is right. could other characters then just figure out how to target inanimate objects with their domain expansion? maybe the reason sukuna has cleave AND dismantle is because of a heavenly restricted fighter in the past that pushed him to the edge similar to how he developed his new cleave/dismantle against gojo. it also doesn't make sense how a slashing CT would need to differentiate between inanimate objects and people outside of a domain
As long as you see the shape of the soul, you can damage mahito just like yuji can with his fist. And we know that toji and maki can see the soul of others because they wield the soul splitting katana, only people who knows the shape of the soul can use this weapon at full potential.
So yeah toji speed blitz mahito and one shots with playful cloud.
I don’t think toji would even notice his ability, mahito would just die too fast for toji to get touched.

You guys remember when Levi caught Zeke? The way Levi just keeps cutting off his limbs so he has cannot transform because his body has to focus on healing first? Well, that will be what will happen if Toji does not even have his fave curse tools. Toji will just cut up Mahito over and over again until Mahito gets too tired and gets depleted of curse energy and just wishes Toji had the inverted spear or soul splitter. This is just a mismatch, Mahito might as be a regular human because he has nothing in his arsenal that would save him from a beating of his lifetime.
i mean we do know that idle transfiguration can effect the opposite heavenly restriction that we see and we might see the clash in the series if kenny does some fun stuff

Toji has a body that is stronger than souls, I'm 100% sure he's either resistant to IT (idle transfiguration) or completely inmune. Also I'm sure since his body is so powerful it might be able to hurt mahito's soul with just a punch (although that's a stretch and mahito is still a curse and only curse energy can kill a curse). Also if by any chance soul split katana was available mahito is dead in 5 seconds
He won’t be completely immune. But he will have to be very weak physically for Mahito to get him. That is, he will have had to fight for long and be injured and weak. Or several attempts by Mahito on him . But Mahito won’t have that chance
I think Toji overwrote that curse can only be killed by cursed energy rule because:
1) He doesn't have CE, yet he killed Dagon; and
2) Yes, he used Playful Cloud but let's remember that it is the only tool that's not imbued with CT/CE.
So he managed to obliterate Dagon who is, I think, sturdier than Mahito with only his raw strength. I'm pretty sure he could do the same with Mahito without breaking a sweat. ^_^
Love the energy lol, but no on one part. Toji has no cursed energy so he can’t hurt Mahito unless he uses a special weapon. Playful cloud or the inverted spear (maybe). Definitely the soul split katana tho fs.

Toji is probably the under-rated goat of the series. Heavenly restricted characters like Maki and Toji are beyond the reach of any sorcerer without domain expansion and even within the domain there is very slim chance to win against heavenly restricted monsters.

At most it would be a stale mate if Toji has no curse tools and can’t hurt Mahito .
There would be no point in making a “what if” fight because both of them wouldn’t even waste their time trying to fight each other knowing it would lead to nothing considering they can’t do anything to each other.
There’s an extremely high chance Idle transfiguration doesn’t even affect Toji’s body since it is literally super resistant to cursed techniques in general and the seance technique was overpowered and there wouldn’t be any soul to manipulate.
And we all know the body and soul are connected regardless remember Fake Geto and Mahito’s conversation when they sealed Gojo at the underground subway? 🚊 (example Geto momentarily stopping Brain’s 🧠control over him, or the first time Nanami and Mahito fought he was wondering why Nanami wasn’t dead when he got touched)
I think the only thing that would give Toji any trouble in shibuya is literally the sporadic randomness of his actions. Like legit doing stuff never thought of during battle. I’d say if he’s got his Cursed energy negating blade, he’d take him handidly. But with his playful cloud, it would take a bit to ramp up. Though max potential mahito is kinda a beast. We saw a weakened version that had his soul harmed before he transformed. So he was a bit stunted. Like Mahito in his max potential just puts his other cursed spirits to shame. Even the likes of Hanami and Dagon fall easily to Mahito in that regard. To the point that all of yujis black flashes that weren’t at the maximum limit dealt NO DAMAGE. Like if humans are around then I’d see Mahito use them as obstacles and projectiles to annoy the sorcerer killer. Note I said annoy not deter. Mahito could probably use some more creative techniques to try and deter him for like a minute. If his domain is dropped, I see Toji moving fast enough to slap him through the domain. But let’s say that Mahito can use his idle transfiguration on Toji, I’d see Toji just outright slice or sever any limb Mahito chose. Like todo did. The highest difficulty I could give Toji on winning this is MID DIFF. Cause Toji is just that guy. That’s me being generous to Mahito too

Toji can easily be sensed and dealt with in a domain, it’s just a matter of changing the rules set upon your domain like Sakuna and gojo do. Sukunas domain specifically is already set up to deal with toji. He has cleave and dismantle, one for cursed energy and one for relentlessly destroying anything without it. This example just proves it can be done and that curse users just boost their auto hit by making it only work on curse users… I suppose they could flip those conditions and make the same work for no cursed energy.

I think something to keep in mind is that mahito's domain may actually target the soul cursed energy or not. Though this is very possibly not the case, and would at the very least take time to switch the target of. Just like how sukuna's domain targets inanimate mahito could have an alternate target condition. Just a theory tho

Specifically in SHibuya, it will be tough. If Toji had the Inverted Spear of Heaven I think he'd quite easily demolish Mahito. He's massively faster and Mahito's domain shouldn't work on him.

We see the refinement mahito gained during the fight with yuuji and todo, and putting into consideration mahito's technique targeting the victims souls, I can see mahito's domain working in everything that has a soul

Yuji was trying to keep up with Maki when they were fighting Sukuna and that was after Yuuji received a power after Sukuna left his body, making him stronger than when he faced Mahito and they had similar physical abilities in that moment. I don't say this to dismiss Yuji who became quite strong, but the author makes it clear that Maji was faster with those dialogues and taking into account that Maki is basically Toji 2 Mahito would die the moment he changes his form (since I imagine it is vulnerable to damage when it is deforming) as long as Touji at least has the special grade weapon fragment to exorcise it.

So maybe I'm dumb, and if I am llease be gentle in explaining so, but I thought part of the rrason mahito was able to use his dile transfiguration on people was by manipulating the cursed energy within them and around there sould to change there shape. By that logic, which could easily be flawed, i figured him attempting to manipulate tojis soul would be him trying to run an electic current through a rock.

Yuji does not know any martial arts btw, he is just a brawler. He may have a little general knowledge on martial arts but for the most part, the fighting style he uses is all his own especially post shibuya.
Toji one shots him with literally EASE. Not only is he far faster than mahito, domain expansion sure hit doesn’t work on toji plus he would just avoid it by speed blitzing out of the range, he also has a counter to mahitos soul hax with the soul split katana which would just one shot mahitos soul. I think the main benefit of toji could be that the soul in the body, is not connected to the body. Mahito could try to manipulate the soul, but it would probably have no effect since his body has nothing to do with the soul.
Jogo was equal to 8 maybe 9 fingered Sukuna. The other special grades were anywhere from a 6 (hella low ball) to a 10 (high ball) finger Sukuna. Toji is about equal to a 10 finger Sukuna (physically). After that, I think a 15 finger Sukuna would over whelm Toji. Even if Toji had any of the 4 weapons he’s used in JJK. Some might argue otherwise. Maki fought a 15 finger Sukuna when helping Yuji. But Megumi was suppressing Sukuna from using his fully power (jujitsu sorcery at the very least).

If it’s Shibuya toji mahito has more winning conditions tbh, I’m pretty sure that without his special grade cursed tools he’s genuinely incapable of harming mahito directly, given the only way to beat him is to attack on a spiritual level. While he outclasses him physically, it really means nothing if mahito will never die.
But if it’s toji with his tools, he wins. The soul splitting katana- does as it says in name, and the ISOH would disable mahito’s CT, rendering him unable to fight back.
