I use a similar method, I use the taller tanks and cut out a square hole so the pigs can stick their head in but this limits one pig to drinking at a time. I'm just wondering if younger pigs would have trouble reaching the water?
That's a great question! For a group of smaller pigs, we will lay concrete blocks next to the waterer. This gives the smaller pigs something to step up on, so they can reach the water.
Thanks for asking! We use Grass Roots Swine Grower #1, a non-GMO feed developed by our co-op. For more info on pig feed and water routines, check out our video “Pig Farm Training: Moving Pigs to Pasture.”
The fence chargers do not emit a constant supply of electricity. They send a pulse of energy every couple of seconds. The charge gets to about 6 to 9 kv. The potential for your scenario is very low.
sound is vibration...vibrations travels well in a vacuum...if it really is a vacuum out there. lol Can you do a video on marketing and selling your pasture pigs?
tried this ,.. my hog flipped the tub and made love to it ...

@@HeiferUSA Sounds simple enough! I will be trying this out for our next batch coming in soon. Thanks!
Do these waterers hold up to freezing temperatures? I've been using a similar setup and I'm worried my hoses are going to freeze.
Cool!
Im in Kansas and here they would freeze big time.
Please can you tell the food ingredients that you're feeding your pig 🐖

What's the potential for electrocution death of a pig that gets into the water and gets shocked by the fence?

My pig loves to use hers as a scratching post and flips it over. How do I solve that?
keep it full of water, keep the electrical lines hot

If they are all level you can use one valve
Do you use quick connects on the hoses.
