Hey Doc, the new guidelines coming out for TXA is 2g right away. This started in the military with the committee on TCCC and is slowly working its way to the civilian side.
Great content, doc. I just have one question. In regards to reversing anti-coagulation, where do patients with coronary a. stents or metal valves fall on this?
Great question! It all requires an assessment of likely benefit vs harm. If someone has truly life-threatening bleeding then reversing anticoagulation takes priority and the patient can be re-anticoagulated as soon as bleeding is controlled
Wow incredible work thanks 🙏
