Pure genius. Indescribable. From the joyful performance of Regine, to the passion of Win, the manic energy of Will, and the synergistic performance of the rest of the performers, this is just pure magic.
One of the best songs i have ever heard in my 55 years of being in music (piano player) I love how the audience hums the melody after the band left the stage. Great song.
And you know what, the song continues to sing it at least 10min after the show, when they go back to their home on the way to the metro, and the next morning when i wag going back to the festival i still heard some people singing it at a bar. It was something unique. (You can heard it on the end of Wake Up, atfer the band left the stage)
Still watching this eight years later and, man, look at that audience. Just focused on the music. No f'n phones. As AF later wrote in another brilliant song: Hey Put the cellphone down for a while In the night there is something wild Can you hear it breathing? And hey Put the laptop down for a while In the night there is something wild I feel it, it's leaving me
I've watched a lot of AF's concert videos, and i think this is the BEST performance they've ever done. Best Power Out transition, awesome violin/guitar bit at 1:00-2:10, Will at his craziest, and cool horns in the outro. But the fact that Rebellion is also my favorite song of all time might have something to do with that thought.
I love this Performance of Rebellion (lies) I love the almost two minute intro, the horn part where you can actually hear the French horn and trumpet, that part was may favorite part of all, I am happy that they give Sarah a mic now. now she doesn't have to shout. This performance is bomb, the One at L'Olympia is a close second!
I have seen many bands live Like Bruce and the E st Prince and the Reveloution Rolling Stones The Eagles The who I could go on , But this group gives value for money . Their energy and performance is unreal . I still felt their energy 3 days later
Has to be one of the rawest and greatest performances of all time no doubt! To this day since this astounding performance, haven't seen anything this amazing. Oh and when I meant "to this day" I mean in my 28 years of living!
As the Beatles saved us from schmaltz in the 60's, Arcade Fire has saved us from the pretty boys and strident divas of today. Rock 'n' roll may be in the minority now but it sure has some muscle!
tms6279 The Strokes (then the White Stripes) saved us, they changed everything, they killed the nu-metal, pop-punk, punk-rap, etc. It allowed many great bands to emerge and have success, Arcade Fire is one of them.
I had the opportunity to see these guys live twice but I have never seen them live. Once, in 2004 when I was too young to appreciate talent like this and once last year, when it was my brother's birthday and I had to go to that instead.
I know it's hard to hear, but I love the sound of the crazy horns at the begginning when it's the transition from noise to Rebellion. The trumpet/ saxophone (any jazz instruments) are some of my favorite sounds. Right up there with the Arcade Fire!
ive known about them since my big sister introduced me to them when their first album came out and my mom is just sick of it cos ill just plug my ipod into the car and play arcade fire whenever i can.... i never get sick of them. literally.
When ever I listen to them at this song, I feel like I want to keep living.... I hate myself. But they make me feel like life is worth living.. I can't find the courage to pull the trigger, and one day I hope I dont...:-(
This is what passion sounds like.
Love it when he says this is our last song...And of course it's a lie :)
lies!! lies!!
Claude Tremblay haha nice joke !

Dennis Daacon agreed!! love it

Yeeeea
Richard's guitar fills that start around 1:25 speak to my soul. Chills. Every. Single. Time.
best version of this song. Love the guitar at the beginning.

This is the best thing I've seen in my whole life, what a great moment to be alive...

That has to be one of the best albums of the 2000s. For sure.
The trumpet inclusion is epic
And it's what they've been missing for the last 10 years
these people make me proud to be Canadian, they're amazing
This song is like an anthem for my life.
the build up at the end was just amazing and then the slow chanting at the end just encapsulated everything great about Arcade Fire

This song is one of those rare, gripping, transcendental songs ❣️ 🥰 LOVE 💜
A crescendo of noise, energy and pure genius. Something perfect.

This Napoleon Dynamite Guy on Guitar is absolutely stunning!
Firing beginning...and then the drums...I love this song so much!
I have seen many bands live
Like Bruce and the E st

The who
I could go on , But this group gives value for money .

Best thing about Arcade Fire is you can really feel their passion for music.
This is music.
Stuck with the melody people humble at the end... So touching
Has to be one of the rawest and greatest performances of all time no doubt! To this day since this astounding performance, haven't seen anything this amazing.
Oh and when I meant "to this day" I mean in my 28 years of living!
The best thing that's come along for years. No questions asked
As the Beatles saved us from schmaltz in the 60's, Arcade Fire has saved us from the pretty boys and strident divas of today. Rock 'n' roll may be in the minority now
but it sure has some muscle!
And then they did bland modern disco.
tms6279
The Strokes (then the White Stripes) saved us, they changed everything, they killed the nu-metal, pop-punk, punk-rap, etc. It allowed many great bands to emerge and have success, Arcade Fire is one of them.
They're all true musicians who are muti instrumentalist. Will and his wife are genius.
@@Laurent_08 vous avez raison!
What an amazing band, thank you WBER
I had the opportunity to see these guys live twice but I have never seen them live. Once, in 2004 when I was too young to appreciate talent like this and once last year, when it was my brother's birthday and I had to go to that instead.
5:17 - Until the end
This „Chaos“ at the beginning is the greatest intro i have ever heard. Every note makes a sense. A music orgasm!
I LOVE the passion they put in every performance.
Das Intro ist Galaktisch. Wow.......🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸😍
I know it's hard to hear, but I love the sound of the crazy horns at the begginning when it's the transition from noise to Rebellion. The trumpet/ saxophone (any jazz instruments) are some of my favorite sounds. Right up there with the Arcade Fire!
just......the best song ever
Seeing them live in a week! Can't wait!

Yeah, it's incredible; he always gets like that.
best live version of this song!!!!
The chanting at the end if the song gives me goosebumps!
The violins toward the end and the "ooooh" ALWAYS gives me shivers and makes me cry
so inspiring
I love these guys played them when I was in ICU the whole time
FABOLOUS!!!
Love the intro!
Is there a more multi-talented or better live band today? I think not.
Not even up until now in 2020.
Honestly, the only band I can think of that's possibly better in live is Muse but its really the only one I can think of lol
Mother Falcon have the same passion/talent.
Hot Chip. I am still not over how great Over and Over live is. That being said Arcade Fire are amazing in their own right. 😊
MAGESTIC, EPIC
everytime i watch the guy with the single drum makes me incredibly happpy
Wäre gern dabei gewesen.🤩🤩👍👍
ive known about them since my big sister introduced me to them when their first album came out and my mom is just sick of it cos ill just plug my ipod into the car and play arcade fire whenever i can.... i never get sick of them. literally.
love his sidecut.
Arcade Fire = excellence
i love sigur ros! personally though, arcade fire takes the cake, not for the talent, but the feeling
When ever I listen to them at this song, I feel like I want to keep living.... I hate myself. But they make me feel like life is worth living.. I can't find the courage to pull the trigger, and one day I hope I dont...:-(
Don't give up! Keep living! It's just the one life we all have.
Well 7 years later I do hope you found peace and didn't decide to end it.
Does anyone else get chills from 6:25 on? LOVE THEM.
It’s like a hymn
Wow, voice sure does sound husky by this time of the set. Love it though, such a great song that changes every time I hear it.
magicians on stage.. performing magic to the ears,
yes yes yes!!!!!!
I was here .......
Now I'm super jealous hahaha its the best live version of the song I found lol
“Everybody grab something an instrument and follow me “ wins butler
Your comment is too underrated lol
SWOON!!
Is the guy who's playing the trumpet from Beirut (band) ? Cos i've been to some of Beirut's concerts and he looks really similar to that guy.
+Syafiq Sapian Yes, Kelly Pratt.
@neutralsoymilkhotel sam thing happened when I sa them at ACL a few weeks ago, it was beautiful.
DAT INTRO
Hell yeah it is
Will concerts like this ever be a thing again?
Will concerts ever be a thing again?
Thom Yorke and the gang!!
I love how the bass guitar is the only instrument to bring order out of chaos in the beginning. =)
the song transition
Wish I was just a few years older so I could’ve been there
They have a way with their percussion mm
Love the extra long intro
epic...
As soon as everyone started singing the ooohs after the song was over, I started crying
i love you all
FUCK COVID... I want to be at concerts like this.
I miss those concerts soooo much too! ;/
