Cole, great kitty fish video. Goldfish were definitely the way to go. I've used them myself and I'm sure I will again. Rice slicks work pretty good too. Casting live bait is an art in itself. Never used a 10ft rod unless it was a fly rod. So I got to hand it to you for that accomplishment. Good job, way to put em in the boat!
Goldfish are nasty. My daughter won a couple at a fair and I plopped them in my beautiful fish tank and 2 years later I can't for the life of me keep that tank clean. I have 2 other tanks with cichlids that are beautifully clean tanks but the goldfish tank is so bad you can't even see the fish! They started out as 1" fish and now one is about 7"! I clean it once a week...clean the filters, do water changes.... It's a never ending battle. Someone told me to dump them in the river but I've decided to put them in our private pond instead. It's not a pond that we can fish in but maybe they'll live.
Chicken feet soaked in cherry jello and sugar free fruit punch koolaid . Put feet in bag pour powder of each flavor over feet close bag mix them up put in fridge for week letting them soak few drops of water. You can add some chunks of tuff sking hotdogs withem
We use chicken feet, chicken gizzards, hotdogs, and cut sunnies, put in gallon sized zip lock bags and soak all that in cherry and grape coolaid and jello. Cat fish out here in the C & D canal, and at the top of the Delaware Bay, love the mixture.
Over here in the Mid-Atlantic States, hate seeing y'all catching, good eater sized cats, then throwing them back in. We fish all day and night to catch good quality, eater sized kitties, and would never throw keepers back in.

Zero kitty- cat filets. That said, this past Saturday evening, was my wife's 61st, I mean 39th birthday, and we went to a great little seafood restaurant called "Kathy's Seafood," located in Delaware City, Delaware, right off the top of the Delaware Bay and River. I had the absolute most delicious catfish filets, fried catfish filets, that I believe I've ever had out at a restaurant. I guess I'm just twisted up, seeing you throw back quality, eater sized kitties. All that said, I love y'alls videos, and just know that my grandsons and I rarely miss your videos. Oliver and Nolan, 10 & 6 years old, respectively, and I sometimes bet whether you're going to release keeper sized fish or "throw'm in the bucket!" If you’re fishing around rocks, have you heard of slinky weights? Tubular taking about .270 cal shot., just feed them in, then when desired weight, use say a hot soldering iron to seal on both ends, put a swivel through it. Where it’s supposed to resist getting hung up in rocks and elsewhere what I was told! I have some but hadn’t got to use it!

The goldfish caught the drum that we used for bait. That's why we included it since we were having trouble keeping them on the hook. We caught probably half of what we caught on goldfish.
