    I don't really agree with the assertion that Anyanwu sets herself up as a community dictator...Seems like fairly standard community leadership, more cultish perhaps...but she doesn't exercise the power of life or death, and states that people gravitate to her over their issues, rather than she holds court and demands their presence. On the other hand, it is not like Doro exercises political power over his colonies, he is more like a god. I don't think we have an equivalent role to Doro in real life, since his power is a precondition for the type of authority he exercises. So for me, in terms of power dynamics, it is more like a community leader vs a god.
