NC allows ruthless HOA policies. HOAs need in NC should have a big fat lawsuit slammed against them to reign in their worst of their unacceptable reach into the residents who live in an community with HOAs. And the Attitude of HOAs toward homeowners is totally unacceptable. How about contacting our legislators to reign in the worst of HOA policies.
The war cry for our home shopping experience years ago was "NO HOA".....served us well.
I call for there to be a Federal Law Where HOA's do Not have the Power at all to Foreclose on a Home Ever.

So why do people continue to buy houses/condos in places with an HOA or similar type of organization/governing body?
They don't know what they're up against. It's like a fiefdom by the developer.

I also have a question : Why would you buy a home then, after paying your mortgage, pay someone else to live in it?
