There were some great movies made in the '30's. This isn't one of them. It's a mystery, the mystery being just what it's all about.

It'a about what happens when a 303 minute, 15 episode serial is cut down to a 71 minute movie.

What a reprehensible dance of violence. What is most terrible is that this is not the first time in a movie of this era have I seen similar!

Its 84 years old! During that time in history ('world war to end all wars' just ended and WW2 about to begin). What do you what? An original film of those times or "censored" & "sanitized" history, especially of classic arts like dance, cinema, paintings, literature, architecture, etc.? This is an world recognized classic choreographic dance! Who today is qualified to judge or condemn? In 60's 'Jesus Christ, Super Star' choreography was both celebrated and criticized. Thats success! You cannot erase human history & cleanse no matter your own opinions.... You dont think "reprehensible" may not apply to many aspects of today's "era" (what you find acceptable) one future day?

The woman dancer seemed not to mind. The audience in the club seemed not to mind. No reason to get all puckered up over it. It's just a dance--more fake-silly than anything else. Take a breath and relax your sphincter a bit.

CAN'T TELL THE GOOD GUYS FROM THE BAD GUYS BECAUSE THEY BOTH ACT SUSPICIOUS, PLUS, CAN'T HEAR THE MOVIE THAT WELL BECAUSE OF THE STATIC NOISE.

You sure do like to complain about a free movie that you don’t have to watch.

    • @Tealcorvette

Its an 84 year old movie! Of course there is static! Its part of being original classic film! Difference is like listening to classic music vinyl records compared to Today's recordings that are mostly into computers.
