- The outbreak continues in Episode 1. Git Gud Fox plays State of Decay 1 Year One Survival Edition Lifeline! Welcome to the army!
In this episode, WELCOME TO DANFORTH!
The outbreak rages, and zombies have overrun the city of Danforth. Fox responds by rallying a small team of army soldiers and establishing makeshift fort. The Army has plans to find a way to counteract this zombie problem, but they need people who are the closest things to experts in this field... people who are trapped in Danforth.
Time to get to work!

Damn. A remake of this map would be indescribably amazing.
I still have a score to settle with this DLC. The very last time I played SoD 1, one of my main characters got killed during a siege and I rage quit.
I've lost the captain before in one of my old playthroughs and Kilo took over.
@@GitGudFox For me it was Sasquatch. So much for "Special Forces"
I lost Sasquatch mid siege and could not finish his quests
Did you settle it?
There are multiple endings in this DLC. I'll be going for the shorter one first. I'll go for the longer one afterwards.
Love the lifeline vid! All time favorite DLC
I like this DLC more than Daybreak and Heartland.
Welcome to where it all began. Danforth, the heart of Black Fever.
Right at the start, if you turn around and go on foot, there's a few grenades in a searchable.
Fox. Did u know that you can get one extra resource from every location. When u call for a scavenger to claim that last resource, after you make the call, take the last rucksack. The scavenger will still go to the place and scavenge and come home with a rucksack. This way you can get a free/extra rucksake from every location.
I believe this still works :)
I believe I did use it, but some of the locations were rejecting the call in.
listen Gid Gud Fox you know, block all entrances with cars and leave one head gate only
If it gets hard enough, I will, but I don't want to make the show boring. People want mayhem.
**laughs in Zombies climbing THROUGH barbed wire fences**
Cars won’t stop them climbing through the barbed wire.
@@itsclemtime2357 Hello Mr. Watching this video
Ah, the map you can literally drive circles around. 😂
Assuming you don't crash and flip over with the crazy vehicle physics.
@@GitGudFox The amount of times I’ve lost my prepper SUV…
13:24 Let's have a moment of silence for our dear old departed Tin Tin.
lmao I just noticed Dr. Horn has the same voice actor as Sasquatch... this was my favorite DLC from both SoD's thus far thou the only thing that really annoyed me was the congestion on the highway & the sort of rushed nature of the objectives if you don't do the missions as they are called in you most likely won't find everyone before a siege ends up calling you back to base... it was a fun DLC thou like you said before you get annoyed/stressed playing SoD but it wouldn't be fun & interactive if that wasn't a thing.
The main thign that annoys me is how dark it gets.
@@GitGudFox yea it is super dark in lifeline someone must really have a hard on for really dark scary games/movies... the darkness does not add a scare factor in my opinion just an annoyance imo.
13:25 My favorite part because of Fox
The balance of power will tip in your favor when you find the 3 grenade launchers and equip your NPCs with them for the siege. I dont think I even came close to losing after that.
It's still super early, so shooting them up will be sufficient for the first few sieges. I am on the lookout for heavy squad firepower weapons though.
Great video! I have not played this myself but it looks like a lot of fun. I wish SOD2 had focus aim. I played the crap out of Mass Effect that gave you the same ability. Nothing better than a long distance head shot in slow motion.
Yeah, it's one of the major abilities I miss from SoD1.
Loved lifeline way more than heartland! I really hope that they bring something like this back for the third one!
Also how is it that SOD was so much harder 😂
SoD2 isn't as hardcore. They made it easier to attract people who aren't necessarily survival genre enthusiasts.
@@GitGudFox with everyone always asking for the game to be harder hopefully they bring back some of the ways the AI in the first one are. Or atleast add a setting for a choice of hardcore survival or casual. It does make jumping back into the first game after all this time pretty fun though!
They added in difficulty settings. There is a hardcore difficulty, but the baseline game experience is way more softcore.
Lethal Zone, for example, is markedly harder than the baseline difficulty. People have been completely wiped out within 5 minutes of starting their first game on Lethal.
Do hope state of decay 2 get a army dlc love playing as the army in this and with the base they get can be a nice army one with good wall and guard tower but the wall be like the one from daybreak so you have to fix time from time to time
I think the closest we will get is the Red Talon in Daybreak.
@@GitGudFox i know but i do hope if i cant get that we can get custom bast like a army one a red talon and civilian ones
Love this gamemode
It's pretty fast paced.
Never beat this dlc nice too see the end
Both endings in time.
You say it is important not to lollygag but I remember distinctly taking advantage of the time delays during missions to search buildings and place outposts. lol
If you know the amount of time you can stretch out, I wouldn't call that lollygagging. That's using each minute for a purpose.
@@GitGudFox I just remember this game, particularly lifeline, having such tight windows. Although if you knew how to manipulate it, then you'd be way better off. I honestly couldn't play it "normal" or else I feel like you could never beat the endings. You had to take advantage of the systems
I found that I never really needed to do any extra looting. I would just hit all of the objectives as they appeared.
@@GitGudFox it was more about setting up outposts. Especially in future mission areas. I remember the top right of the map had a place where you could only enter through a door but it was a big area and at least three missions were there.
So I would go in and make an outpost beforehand
Additionally as you know. You lose access to radio commands so I would go and take over the outposts that would give those back pretty early
Welcome to crow lake
I don't remember if there's a lake in this map.
They need to remaster this in the second game
I doubt they will since YOSE was its own HD remaster.
Git Gud Fox I mean like with red talon. Like heartland
I'm so happy!
You play this DLC before?
Ya awhile back and a year ago. I failed it twice and I started one more and I left it there after completing a mission.
👍
Welcome back Joe!
I usually set my soldiers to locate other soldiers.
I probably will do that once our supplies fill up more.
For the first few days, I thought this DLC was really easy. Then I lost 5 people on day 6.
It has a certain threshold where it ramps up A LOT.
@@GitGudFox Any tips for rescuing that radio person? I was blocked off by a barricade, which got one of my people killed and then for some reason the VIP
my reaction while playing lifeline for the first time be like "damn, this dlc is so difficult"
meanwhile, SOD2 heartland dlc be like "hold my beer" and then lethal zone difficulty would say "haha, funny!"
I would say Lifeline is harder than Heartland. Heartland is on the standard zone difficulty which is easier than SoD1.
For some reason i cannot get Sod1 to run on my pc at all. Does anyone else has this problem, and knows a fix?
So close to 8k!
Yeah, still new people coming into SoD2.
I never could figure out the map of Lifeline
I just drive towards the objective and hope for the best.
I miss the semi realistic look State of Decay 1 had. They’ve gone too real in my opinion. Still a great game. But I wish they kept this style.
I get tired of realistic looking games tbh. It's why I like 7 Days to Die.
Lmao you ran out of content yet ? They need to add more in state of decay 2, couple of settlements and a map that all you do is get food and etc and then bring it back home couple of zombie sieges isn’t fun any more we need intense battle or something
That's what Daybreak was supposed to be, but it was awful.
Git Gud Fox day break is the biggest scam ever
Git Gud Fox state of Decay needs to add move things not like maps like new things to do
How can I activate the Slow camera?
It's one of the gun skills.
Are they all free now ? Cuz it added the game again and it gave me that lifeline for free I guess
How?
@@hazmatv7157 idk i just pressed it and it went in it didn’t tell me to buy it
I’m pretty sure juggernaut edition is the only one you can buy on steam.
Vince kinda looks like the wakanda guy ...black pees bruhh
The who?
@@GitGudFox You know what he’s talking about. The guy
State of decay 2 is way better.
The graphics and guns are better, and there’s a few more mechanics. The still messed up a lot of stuff in the second one.
