How do you keep this from falling in with no rebar? Did you slush the blocks in when you got higher? Just curious if they backfill at all what keeps the dirt from expanding/contracting and pushing them in?
Is there a an access point to get into the crawl space if need be? I have a mobile home with bricks and skirting like this. I have rats under there, don't know how to access
If there's not on then you'll have to bre break out some blocks preferably close to your water cut off it will require a block mason and a door put on so you can close it of course
Hey I had the similar idea as well not sure what to go with clay brick or brick veneer. I would prefer the look of veneer to be the outside and behind be clay brick
How do you fill the gap if the blocks don't completely meet the siding? I would like to do this as well, but I am concerned about the space that may be there. Thanks!
Unfortunately, they leave a gap at the top. Its up to the homeowner to ask them to close the gap, which is alot larger cost added to the job. Thats why most installers will just leave a gap at the top when installing block. Just learned this because we are doing a double wide manufactured home right now. If you are allowed to do insulated vinyl skirting, do that instead. The vinyl skirting has no gap, and it is known to be a better insulation rating than the concrete block skirting. And the vinyl skirting is much cheaper to buy, if that`s an issue for you. The ONLY gains you get with block skirting, is it isn`t prone to getting holes in it if you weed wack around your skirting. The vinyl was what we ended up doing. It saved us $3,000 grand!
Beautiful work. Definitely a lot of experience here.
Thank you very much!
Wonderful job
What an art! You're amazing
Thank you so much 😀
What is the lowest possible price to have a foundation built for my 820 square feet single wide.
How many bricks did it take for the whole mobile home? & How much did you pay? & How long did it take?
2500-2800 materials
1k labor - approx
$6k-8k invoice (most likely)
How deep does the concrete footing go that the blocks are set on?
We don't always use a pudding but when we do it varies on the levelness of the ground. But four to five to six inches
4 inches most of the time but no less
I want to redo the skirt of my porch which is now wood to I need a footing?b
whats the best way to start this out? use a plum on the corners get a mark and chaulk line?
We use speed poles and plumb them with the house. Take some line blocks and regular string

Honestly we just dig at least 5 inches deep and put a solid mud course on footing
Are these 8inch blocks?

I have concrete brick skirting, i want brick. Do you recommend a thin brick veneer or solid clay brick wall? What would be best cost effective

Math. You have to determine how much of a mortar gap you need to make it work. Or you cut the last brick to size
What's your location
WY u don't do more videos
What do you use to close the gap between the foundation and the doublewide
