The cramped dinginess of your quarters, your relaxed western wear snap up shirt and spot on vocals all conspire to make this a very enjoyable and watchable tribute to ol Hank. Great work!
thanks man, I learned to play it wrong and never have re-learned it right, but if you play something wrong for so long it becomes right to you. At least thats the way I see things.
Jake, that was really wonderful. I have been a classic country music fan since almost 6 years now. I have seen many covers, but this was really amazing. Why don't you come up with your album of covers which includes songs like this, "Hey Good Lookin'" etc... Brilliant control over voice. Keep it up bro!
The best male vocal cover of this Emmett Miller/Hank Williams standard I’ve heard. The guitar accompaniment is adequate to the task, but the vocals are superior.
YOU DESERVED MY COMPLIMENT 100%. I SING FAIRLY WELL (GOOD AS HAGGARD AT LEAST - LOL!), BUT YOU NAILED LOVE SICK BLUES! KEEP PICKIN' AND SANGIN' - THANKS FOR YOUR NICE REPLY - LORD BLESS!
You can't go wrong tapping into the white spirit of 'ol hank. Though he tried to make people believe he was influenced by teetot, i can't hear a thing in his music that is anything but poor white. he expressed the spirit of poor whites who built this country, fought its wars while the rich took the wealth they created but they never got a fair share of. strangely, though he expressed the spirit of working class whites better than anybody who ever lived 'ol hank was a quarter native american. god bless brother!
IVE HEARD ALOT OF COVERS, BUT YOU SOUND JUST LIKE HANK ON THE BREAKS IN YOUR VOICE AND NOBODY ELSE HAS DONE THAT. KEEP ON HANKIN. GREAT JOB.
Yes he does slot I've seen a lot of covers alo
AMAZING cover
Absolutely outstanding!
