- Hello all!
The first days of our 800km (500 mile) journey along the Camino Frances on our way to Santiago de Compostela. This is what we have been waiting to do now for the better part of a year. I walked the French Way (still the Camino De Santiago) almost two years ago and I probably talked about it way too much while we were dating, so Grace and I decided to walk it for the beginning of our honeymoon!

What I love abt your camino videos is that you feature a lot of the members of your camino family. Some camino content creators seemed to focus on their individual journey towards Santiago de Compostela and it comes across as self-isolating. The camino frances has always been, at least to me, more social than the other routes. Your videos reflect the community and the magic of the camino very accurately.
Thank you so much for your kind words! We agree, there is a huge social factor on the Camino Frances that while incredible, we feel isn’t portrayed properly. We’re still having our individual journey, but also trying to show familiar faces and how your little Camino family is so important to the journey. Aw thank you! We’re glad you enjoyed it. This is Chris’s 2nd time through and it was also rain and fog the last time. Seems to be a common occurrence haha!
Buen camino! you may want to put the number - vlog 1 / vlog 2 etc. - in front, otherwise it will be tough to find them in order later, once you posted a lot of them, because yt won't keep them in order in a playlist. Also there are so many camino vlogs now, but very few show the hostels kitchen etc, it's great you did that!! I think people would be interested how it all works, the casual stuff, the actual infos and prices, the maps... info on the trail - where it is hard to walk, where there's no signs so you could get lost... I think that's how you could stand out from all the vlogs :) But either way, enjoyable video, thank you. I hope you'll have a ton of fun.

Hi, I have walked CF and Portuguese and watched a bunch of videos and I love that you are filming when others are around showing your camino family. Friends for life!
After I left Roncavelles in 2014 I crossed the little creek and used the blocks like you as didn't want to get wet feet, pretty sure it is the one with the 5 blocks you showed although I don't remember the tree there, and I tripped and broke my leg. Off to Pamplona and back to NZ for me!
This is the first time I have seen that spot since then as I went back and started from Pamplona in 2017. Memories!!❤ Will follow your journey.
We love our Camino families! Chris walked the CF two years ago and still talks to almost everyone regularly, it’s the biggest part of the Camino experience! But oh no! That’s such a tragic story! I’m glad you went back and finished your Camino, we love a good comeback story. So many memories and thank you for watching!
