My favorite Eagles song is sung by Randy Misner with the Eagles. Take it to the limit, is a must hear
Yep that’s what I’m hoping he’ll do next! Live hopefully!
the 1976 live version
Yes
So many excellent Eagles songs but this is my favorite ❤
That's my favorite too❤ Greetings from Finland😊
By far the biggest thing missing in modern music is pure talent.
Say that louder for the folks in the back!!! 💯💯💯💯💯💯
Money is the prime concern of the music business today.
Every Eagles song I hear I think, “This is my favorite Eagles song.” Then I hear another one. This song is absolutely beautiful. I never get tired of it and it takes me back to childhood.
Me too,lol!
Same!
My favorite Eagles song is the one I’m listening to at the moment.
DITTO TO THIS COMMENT ❤
exactly!
The Eagles have a band rule...you write it, you sing it!! That's why there are so many amazingly talented guys in the band!! 🎶🎼🎵🎸🎧🥁🎤🎹🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘
All of them except Schmidt had hits as solo artists. He was great though in collabs with other artists, like on Heavy Metal with Felder.
@@bamachine this song was written and sung by Timothy B. Schmidt!!!🎶🎼🎵🎸🎧🥁🎤🎹🤘🤘
@@marcieharreld286 Yes, as part of the Eagles. I was talking about actual solo careers. Schmidt had a solo career but never had any hits as a solo artist. Henly, Frey, Felder and Walsh all had hits as solo artists. Not doubting Schmidt's talent at all, just mainly luck of the solo artist.
@@bamachine gotcha!!!🤘🤘
For real - such a talented bunch!!
If you want to hear the ultimate harmonizing. Check out 7 Bridges road.
Any live of 7 Bridges Road makes my mood lift every time.
My absolute favorite. I love "Seven Bridges Road".
Yes, seven bridges no doubt
Oh yes. Seven Bridges Road is amazing. The harmonies are off the chart. And didn’t they do it a cappella?
Love the Eagles--brings me back to my teenage & college years of awesome music. AND an acapella group named HOME FREE did a cover of this song (edit: 7 Bridges Road) & the harmonies are stellar!
Eagles had so many great songs that it's why they're the greatest. A lot of diversity in their music.
The Eagles were such a collection of talents. This many gifted song writers, voices and musicians in a single group is almost not fair. They are a cheat code!!!!!
And so much beauty together is also almost not fair (oh, Don Felder...❤) 😂😂
💯❤️🔥
💯🔥
Thankful I grew up with the BEST music that the world will ever hear!!
got that right!
In the particular video you have
Timothy B Schmidt lead Vocals/ Bass
Don Henley drums/ vocals
Glenn Frey. Keys / vocals
Joe Walsh. Keys / vocals
Don Felder. Lead guitar
All the members of the Eagles could be lead vocalist but most of the vocals were handled by Henley & Frey -Nice treat to have Timothy take the lead
Joes Walsh is guitars.
@kathycuster1714
That’s Don Felder playing the guitar
Joe Walsh was playing the keyboards on this song along with Glen Frey
Joe is definitely a gifted guitarist but he’s also a very talented all around musician who can play keys …. Like on this song.
@@kathycuster1714 @billc.5861 is correct. Joe is the one with the mustache playing the keys. Glenn is without the mustache playing keys.
Joe Walsh also had lead on vocals on quite a few songs! 😊
Check out Timothy Schmidt when he was with Poco - his harmony is phenomenal
The Eagles were Linda Ronstadt’s backing band before they went out in their own
😮
Wow, I didn't know that. ❤ thank you.
Fun fact, some of the members of the Eagles were Linda Ronstadt’s band. She encouraged them to go out on their own and The Eagles were born.
Love how the eagles all share the lead singing position, they all have their own songs
I wish Timothy B. Schmit had more lead vocals. His voice, ah.
This is the ONLY Eagles song I will listen to. Timothy B. Schmit's voice is absolutely soul touching. This has always been my favorite song of theirs.
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Mine, as well.
All of them shared vocals!. Don Henley,Glenn Fry,Timothy B Schmidt.Randy Misner and Joe Walsh and Don Felder
Technically correct, but Felder not so much. In the 6 years he was with the band (in its first iteration) he sang lead on only one album song.
RIP Meisner & Frey, BTW.
(you need to watch your spelling of some surnames, just sayin' ...)
I had an older friend in college (86-91) and he made me a bunch of Eagles cassettes for commuting. Every Eagles tape had a list of "The Eagles Are:" I still have some of them, though my friend/mentor has died.
@@beadybaby So sorry to hear that ...
Desperado is a masterpiece!
If you want to hear them singing harmony, check out "Seven Bridges Road".
THIS^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
The comment at 10:45, "Damn, this is just a great song" are the most insightful words of this reaction.
Don’t forget to thank Linda for getting the band together!!❤
Can't go wrong with the Eagles. Throw a dart at the board and you'll win every time. If you love this then you'll really love Desperado. You still need to check out the original outlaw country singer David Allan Coe. You don't even call me by my Name is an all time classic
You Never Even Call Me By My Name is actually “the Perfect Country and Western song”. I also love “The Ride” which is David did with a favorite @Black Pegasus country legend (or is it ? 😎😎😎)
@@ga_patriot279 the version of the Ride from Castles in the Sand is the best version
Do it
I agree with David Allen Coe, but have to be careful on the song you choose 😜
Amazing song. Check out “Desperado”
Timothy B. Schmit just KILLING it on vocals! Such a pure, warm, beautiful voice. And LOVE the guitar work by Don Felder. One of my very favorite Eagles songs--and I love 'em all! Keep going down this rabbit hole as long as they will let you!
loved seein Walsh on the keyboards!! Never seen him on them
Absolutely!! ❤❤❤❤
Keep it wholesome where it’s supposed to be. Thank God I grew up in the 70’s with this great music.
Hands down, my favorite Eagles song of all time!
This is Timothy B Schmidt; he replaced the original founder that could sing these high pitches Randy Meisner. The Eagles are absolutely fabulous each and everyone of them can sing and play. I didn’t discover them until 1980 when I was a freshman in high school and they were in the process of breaking up when I found their last studio album at that time before they did break up The Long Run! I’ve been discovered their other their other songs with the creation of classic rock radio stations. I became an Eagles fan for life. when they were reunited I managed to see them about four times. This was prior to the deaths of Glenn Frey, And the other deaths of the original members. But their music will live on forever! you’re missing out a lot if you don’t try and watch the Eagles documentary that’s on one of the streaming channels that shows how they started as back up singer Linda Ronstadt, etc. If memory serves a couple of them lived above Jackson Browne in echo somewhere California and they also lived I think with Kenny Rogers. This is indeed a rabbit hole. You have much to learn.
Overall, perhaps the most talented collection of musicians in my lifetime.
I ditto DESPERADO!
The Eagles are known as one of the GOATs for a reason...
One of my favorite groups of all time. They are the best harmonious band ever.
Mmmmm Beach Boys....
Now this is a " Super Group" All can sing and play.
My first Eagles' concert ticket cost me $6.00 in 1975. Needless to say, they went up after that!!! They never ever disappointed their audience!! I have loved them since they were eaglettes!!
Simplicity is sometimes greatness, that's why the Eagles are so good.
you can only do simple really well i fyou are musical geniuses
"Desperado", "Tequila Sunrise" and " Doolin-Dalton" are a must!
The eagles had a mantra, if you write it, you sing it and make it your own.
Vocals by my favorite Eagle… Timothy B. Schmit. All Eagles sing. All. Most successful bands have 3+ guitars, piano and multiple vocals. Don Henley on drums, Joe Walsh on keyboard (best on guitar), Glenn Frye on backup vocals. There are other members who come and go but these are the longtime members. They all sing and all play multiple instruments. Not to mention the collaboration in songwriting. Plus they all have solo work! The talent of the men has no limit.
Can't forget Fingers Felder! Schmidt was after Meisner but the Eagles one of those great bands.
@@KColes63 Even with all the members that came and went, Timothy B.Schmit is still my favorite…. For vocals, mostly. ❤️❤️❤️
And he is soooooo fine!!! ❤
The best era of music was the 70's. I could list 30 different artists and bands and still I would miss someone.
Hell yeah 🤟🤟🤟🤟
The Eagles have been my absolute favorite band for over 40 yrs. Their love of performing in studio and on stage, the shared talent of being able to play multiple instruments,as well as all having the ability to sing, all down to writing their own music...What's not to love and appreciate about this phenomenal group of individuals that come together and create a sound like no other... 🎼 🎵🎶🎹🪕 🎸 🥰
If you like great Harmonies, you should check out Seven Bridges Road ❤️❤️
100 %!!
You must do "Take it to the limit" live version, with Randy Meisner on lead vocals
I second that Randy was great
Yes. A must.
Definitely a must
My all time favorite Eagles song... I saw them in concert in 1997. It was one of the BEST shows I have ever seen. They sound exactly like they did on the record. They sang their group songs then the artist sang their individual ones. It was life changing.
Timothy B. Schmidt who is singing here has a voice that sounds as good live. He stole the show when I saw them in LA years ago. It was angelic and gentle. I saw the Eagles 10 years ago and I've never forgotten Timothy's incredible live vocal on "I Can't Tell You Why".
One of the greatest songs of all time. One of the greatest bands of all time!
My first introduction to the Eagles was in 1972 when they opened up for Procol Harem at the Santa Monica Civic Center and their music is as relevant today as it was then. This is just one of those timeless bands.
Timothy B. Schmit replaced Randy Meisner during the formation of POCO in 1969. Meisner went to the Eagles and, in 1977, he left POCO to replace Meisner in The Eagles. One of Schmit's best with POCO is "Keep On Tryin'"
Schmidt was also a Coral.Reefer with Jimmy Buffett!.He coined the phrase Parrot Heads! I am a parrot head!
Excellent first dive! Timothy B. Schmidt’s vocals are mesmerizing. This is my definitive Eagle’s favorite.
Band had a rule. You wrote it, you sing it. Love all their songs. Not a bad one. Love your reactions. Both of you! Nice to listen to people who try to get the meanings. Thanks!✌️
Ok here it is , I am 65 years old will be 66 in May and have listened to the Eagles since Jr.High School . For me Take it Easy and. All time favorite is Desperado !! I really enjoy that you younger guys are now discovering what great music that is now what folks call classic rock that my generation of Baby Boomers still love !! Enjoy guys !!
I am 62 and the Eagles were a huge part of my youth and still to this day. The best of the Eagles is a beautiful album.
You guys should also check out Eagles Rocky Mountain Way 1977 Maryland live. Joe Walsh 👏
What made the Eagles so successful was that they were each and every one a great vocalist and a great musician and a perfectionist. It made for great harmonization.
This is one of the most beautiful songs..... and I can't tell you why. :) It just clicks with me.
I love your reaction to the Eagles' music. I'm 71 and still can't get enough of them!
Although they aren't my favorite band, The Eagles have to be the best American rock band. They had SO MANY great songs! My mom played their records all the time while I was growing up and I can't think of one bad song they did.
If u can get away with it, do EVERYTHING Eagles!! Don, Glenn, and Joe all have amazing solo music as well! Someone else u should check out is Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young! They are equally as amazing together, but also all great on their own!
Like the Beatles, every member of the Eagles is a lead singer. Their 2 biggest hits (on the charts) were this song, released their last year, by Timothy B. Shmidt, who replaced Randy Meisner on bass a year earlier. Randy had their biggest hit of all, TAKE IT TO THE LIMIT. Don Henley, Glen Frey, and Joe Walsh also all have huge hits as their lead singer.
Love Timothy B Schmidt’s voice! He handles the high notes! He also sang lead on “Love Will Keep Us Alive”. Can’t go wrong with any Eagles songs! I could go on all day about them! They are all brilliant! ❤️🔥✌🏻🫶🏻
And Randy Meisner wasn't bad either
What makes the Eagles unique is that multiple members, wrote and sang the songs. This created a situation where you can have one Eagles song sound incredibly different than another Eagles song. They have a fantastic song library, well worth listening to more!!! When they were really hot mid late 70’s they were easily a top 10 or 20 rock band in terms of popularity. When they broke apart several members had successful solo careers. AND that guy singing is Randy Meisner. He’s the high harmony vocalist of the group.
Sound track of my childhood
Such a great song. One of the best bands and groups of musicians ever. And Don Felder on the guitar, wow. Got to see them 3 times and they're as good, or better, in concert. Great reaction, love it.
One of the most beautiful songs of the Eagles. I love it.
Every member of the eagles was a World Class Talent.
Imagine, 5 lead singers backing up vocals for their bassist for a song he wrote. Each one of those singers having done albums of their own. You don't see that everyday. There is no band like them… With a monumental catalog.
200 million albums sold world wide and 100 million of those here in the states. One of my all time fav groups. First they were considered a rock group, then easy listening, then "elevator" music and then country. Regardless of where you put them they are fantastic!!
Love Will Keep Us Alive is another great Eagles song, with Timothy singing lead. I love his voice. He could sing the newspaper to me, and I would melt.
Love the Eagles music. Pretty maids all in a row and New kid in town are probably my favorites though.
💖💖💖💖💖 Love the Eagles! Try "Peaceful, Easy Feeling", "Desperado", "Tequila Sunrise", "Already Gone", "Lyin' Eyes", "Wasted Time" and "Take It To The Limit".
I loved this song the first time I heard it, I was 15 with no emotional ties to the song. Just a great fkn song. It’s in my top 3 Eagles songs.
Simply doesn't get much better than The Eagles!!!
The Eagles are so talented. They all sing beautifully. In this video, Joe Walsh is playing keys - multi talented!
Don Henley (drummer, singer), Glenn Fry (guitar, singer) got started as Linda Ronstadt’s road band members.
You could literally do reactions for a month (if they allowed it) of nothing but Eagles songs.
Before that Frey had played on Bob Seger's Rambling Gambling Man .
Timothy B. Schmidt always had one of the smoothest voices.
Eagles don’t have a bad song and they have a huge catalogue!!
Timothy B is one of my favorite rock voices ever!❤
Already Gone Is Another Great Song By The Eagles..
But,
Just So You Know,
Pretty Much Every Song By The Eagles Is A Great Song!
Nice Reaction!
And Glad You're Enjoying Them
So much talent in one band. Heartache tonight, life in the fast lane, Best of your love, witchy woman, and one of these nights just to name a few. Peace out ✌️ ☮️
The harmonizing is out of this world....on this and all Eagles song. Beautiful.
One thing that made the Eagles so special is that every one of them sung lead at some time. And all were more than capable of doing it. Loved them.
My number #1 favoritest band EVER,tied with CCR..I'm old now but those two bands STILL hold #1 for me .💗💗🎵🎶🎶🎵🔥
Naah, your not old just well marinated in the best music ever, lol!
Yup. This is that band. These guys encouraged whomever wrote the song to sing it. And they all contributed at some point. I believe every member has wrote and sung a song. And i believe they all had a "hit" too.
Absolutely legendary band here gentlemen. Keep digginf into them
Take It To The Limit is my favorite Eagles song, of all my favorite Eagles songs. 😊
The band was basically a supergroup. Most of the guys had their own solo work that was amazing also.
Eagles "Take it to the limit" live. The most reacted to. The vocals are something.
Grew up with The Eagles. Saw them in Jacksonville Fl back in 74, b4 they reached world-wide status of ICONIC. I regret, very much, having only seen them once. I never grow tired of listening to some Eagles music....never! Enjoyed your reaction, TY.
I've seen them live twice in Atlanta in my 55 years of life and they are even better live❤❤
If either (or both of you) ever watch any videos by the acapella group, Pentatonix, there are commentaries on some of them, by professional singers (opera usually) who talk about the balance and blend that makes that type of music successful. The ability and willingness to have 4 singers blend at in the background while1 singer sings lead, and then seamlessly pass it off. That is what made the Eagles so special. They had 4 legitimate lead singers, most of whom plaid multiple instruments as well, who were able to, and willing to, sing lead, pass it off and harmonize, play whatever instrument needed to be played at the time, etc. I'm 55 and I grew up listening to these guys on the radio in the 70s and 80s. I went to their reunion concert when they got back together on their "Hell Freezes Over" tour. They literally sound like this live. No joke. If you didn't hear the subtle changes in phrasing from the way it was sung 20 years ago, or someone playing a slightly altered guitar lick that wasn't in the original, you might be tempted to think it was lip-syncing, but it was all live, same quality, every song, with 2 decades of top-10 hits, over 3 hours. I never saw anything like it before and never have since.
Timothy took Randy Meisner's place as singer and bass player when Randy left. Randy passed away 2023. Check out Randy singing. Take It To The Limit. 😂😢❤.
The bass player Timothy B Schmidt (ex Poco member) was a great singer. However, their original bassist/founding member Randy Meisner (ex Poco member) had the best voice in the band. Wish they'd never let him go. He had a beautiful high tenor voice. To hear him, check him out singing lead on their hit single Take It To The Limit. Amazing!
Timothy is the best. His voice is just unbelievable.
Fun fact, Randy Mizner (who sang Take It To The Limit) was the bass player for a band called POCO. After he left the Eagles they got Timothy B Schmitt who was the bass player the replaced Randy in POCO.
🇬🇧 Seriously.... There's a helluva lotta talent in that there room! 🎼🎶🎙️🥁🎸🎹❤️
This is Timothy B. Schmidt. The Eagles have many songs written by many band members. All supported by thier signature five part harmony.
Hotel California is their biggest hit. But my fave performances from them are Take It To the Limit and Desparado. The same great musicianship as this is consistent in their work.
OMG! Eagles were before my time and were not even together when I was in high school...but my best friend and I had their tapes and played them all the time. I got to see them in the Hell Freezes Over tour in 1992! Freaking Amazing!!!! It was major bucket list for me! If you can find their documentary it is fantastic!!! Eagles
Every member of the band can sing lead. They are that good! One of the best bands of the seventies and eighties.
It was pure magic when this group of guys got together. The lead singer for this song was Timothy B Schmidt, his voice is awesome, the bass player before him was Randy Misner (RIP Randy), his voice was out of this world as well. A must listen for a taste of Randy's voice is "Take it to the Limit" just a total epic song and one of their many many masterpieces.
Listen to these songs all in a row:
1. Life In The Fast Lane - DH
2. New Kid In Town - GF
3. I Can't Tell You Why - TBS
4. Take It To The Limit -RM
5. In The City -JW
6. Twenty-One - BL
7. Visions - DF
Yes . . . that is the same band, The Eagles, playing ALL of these songs, with a different member singing lead on each one.
Definitely my favorite all time band since the 70's.
The Greatest Generation fought for our freedom. Their children gave us the most amazing music ever created. Now we're left with lesser sons standing in their shadows.
The Eagles were formed to be Linda Ronstadt's band but she released them from their contract early to pursue their own future.
one of my fave Eagles songs! ♥
It's the best harmonizing group ever.
Timothy B Schmidt is who’s singing this song. His voice still sounds this good. The Eagles have to be one of the best bands ever! You’ll have to listen to Hotel California, Take It Easy, Life in the Fast Lane, Take it to the Limit, New Kid in Town, Peaceful Easy Feeling, Tequila Sunrise. Their song list of hits is endless!
