- If I could pick my favorite store bought crochet hair for beginners, it would be beach curl by either Freetress or Glance Model Model. Both look identical and are easy to find in local beauty supplies as well as online for under $10 a pack. I used around 4 packs, but I do a nice amount of cutting/shaping which helps to reduce some of the bulk around the face.

How long does it last?
Crochet braids can last six to eight weeks or longer depending on your upkeep. I wouldn’t go longer than that.

@@whoKnew1621 Hello WhoKnew! Happy Sunday! 😃 It can vary depending on the type of hair being used, but if we’re talking curly hair, it should only take 2-3 hours for the installation process. This does not include braiding the foundation…The braiding of the foundation depends on how fast you can braid your own hair. If you’re blessed to have someone that can braid and help it should go by quickly. 😄
