You could do a final one where you discuss which will be your end-game hangar for the different modes, I'd be very interested in your thoughts.
I've been running Sentinel with dual Minigun 8s and that has really been serving me well as just a pure damage-output build. To be fair, it's been helped a bit by the fact that I lucked into a legendary shield HP implant.
Agree that Zephyr isn't amazing in control point fights, or it at least takes a lot of creativity and patience to use it well in a defensive playstyle after other mechs have done captures, but it remains my MVP in free-for-all tournaments.
Excellent video and info, love it. I had similar feelings about the voltaic 14, just got it for gear hubs sake. I've really enjoyed gear hub feature and path, some of the stuff is uber expensive, I just wish there was at least another option to earn free a coins everyday, but I do appreciate that some stuff within gear hub that is expensive at least has a higher star value. Also, is it just me, or is anyone else noticing a slight uptick in earning a coins from regular crates? I did my daily ad watching and earned 37 a coins this morning which is great, but I do still really miss the daily 30 free a coins from watching 2 ads.

Your path does make the msots sense, especially for me since out of tier 5 I'll be struggling with acoins due to getting minigun and em riffle 8. I might consider orion but I'm most likely just going to go with killshot instead sicne it would be an upgrade from ghe slinghsot im using. And yes, it does still get mvps somehow 😂. Em riffle 10 and minigun 10 are going tk he skipped, then i can jjst go straight to the twelves. Hopefully ember gun is acoins soon, since that would be a great weapok to have and one that i hope to take to endgame on the free to play account. This was a good video, it also gave me insite on the cost of stuff. Keep up the good work, and I hope to see you on the battlefield soon.
Just get Orion, You'll never regret it. I have 5* Mechs which are soon to be 6* but my Highest Achievemtsn is still on my 4* Orion. That should tell you how awesome it is !!! 🙂 I've even considered replacing one of my soon to be 6* Mechs for my 4* Orion.
Orion 4* is same as having other mechs 6*, How ? Think of it as upgrading any weapon you throw on it to next Tier. So using Disc Launcher 8s on Orion with its mark ability will makes them into Disc Launcher 12s.. That;s how crazy the Damage gets with Orion's Mark ability, Not to mention, the mark spreads on Kill and has very low cooldown.

You got lucky with the Eclipse!... and I PRAY that in 5 days from now I get lucky with HEMLOCK! Im FIRST by 4.8K points as of now and I have a backup plan. Im in tier 4 and the last way I can get points in a pinch for this event is spending 300 acoins for 200 points... not the greatest but 200 points is 25-35 minutes of near perfect matches, so more like 30-40 minutes of grinding for 200 points. Im on Tier 4 and I have saved 1.2K acoins, and Im eyeballing fragment gun 10 (650 acoins) and Javelin rack 8 (725 acoins) = 1375 acoins and I am top on another leaderbord which I'll get 900 ACOINS FROM. I'll have enough, but I'll wait till the last day to make my decision.
Currently on the grind for the last level+rank up of Grav Beam 10, and after that I’ll rank up my Eclipse. My hangar for this tier will likely be
Guardian+grav beams
Eclipse+minigun
Stalker+missile rack
Zephyr+railgun
Redeemer+disc launcher
I think you should continue. If nothing else it's a great guage for new players to see a) if it's possible to get an end game hangar f2p and b) how long it takes. I'd also be interested to know your win rate f2p Vs your main account. Finally which do you prefer, disruptor or storm rack end game?

Scape, I understand why you would not want to make a guide for the other tiers but, being a new player I need to know what is a good idea to buy and what is not.
On tier 7 and 8,u should do one final video going over it all,as both tiers are more or less the same
ah like a theoritical one like this, but covering both? yea that might a good idea. It may get a little long, but ill think about it. Not a bad idea though!
With stuff like panther you can be very helpful for your team by shielding them when your dps doesn't cut it yet

Congratulations to reach at teir 6 as f2p, its frustrating.
I just wanted to know that how you manged to stack that much A coins and credits ( specially a coins ) as you already mentioned you didn't play tornaments ?
as a fellow f2p player, i agree
He mentioned in previous videos he accumulated about 2k acoins per month, or average of ~500 per week. That's consistent with normal f2p non competitive income. See the weekly income calculation in the MA database.
thanks! ive actually been in tier 6 for a while and have just been stacking resources for legendary pilots before I move through the tier. tbh, if i pushed through the tier, I think I would already be like 1 item away from tier 7. But maybe 2 items. not entirely sure.
As for the stacking stuff, it generally comes from being consistent daily like I discussed in my 5 things basics video I posted recently. Doing that helps a lot more than people think to keeping up on stuff. I also of course have times I get lucky with fortune crates or push through acoins based sprees when I can and such. But those are there for everyone.
I just bought rm12 just to unlock the six stars, so I could buy Graviton beam 10 thanks to you. This series is so good!

Yea scape I would agree with your end comment regarding the last two tiers. I believe at this point people would have their playstyle down and understand which weapons. Ruffles put out a good top tier video as well looking at meta bots. So I feel the goal of your series has provided good guidance from beginning to mid-late. Great beginner guide and I used it to progress through 5 then I kind knew where I was going with the mechs.
Can’t wait for your pilot episode! Like some have said you could update your F2P meta end game hanger video since gear hub has come out for your last video and say well I’d focus on DL12 for this bit DL16 for panther. Eclipse with frags or ember. Aegis mini gun 12 or dl12. Kinda running through options! Thanks again. Love the series.

Hey scape I am also in gear hub 6. Should I rush to tier 7 or buy legendary pilots first.btw I already have 3 epic pilots and 2 rare ones. Also should I buy panther or Orion as I am looking forward to sniping

Should i buy panther or orion or should i just save for pilots like rn i just have one epic pilot and 5 rare ones. Lets just say i wasn't so thoughtful in the past. But what should i do now? I plan on saving for upgrading grav beam and then buy panther but i just thought about pilots and orion for sniping yesterday. So i don't really know what to do
I'm a 1 year old player. I still have 5 Epic Pilots and doing fine with my 5* Mech Hangar with 5 Maxed out Weapons (6* Weapons). Legendary Pilots are really the last thing you want to get (Unless you are Super rich) and don't mind spending Thousands of A-Coins.
If you havent noticed, the only differenve in stats between Epic and Legendary Pilots is 1 Slot + 15% Damage and 20% Health. 3800 A-Coins for 20% Health and around 15% Damage doesn;t justify the cost. I would focus on getting 5 Star Hangar and 6* Weapons first. Later, Focus on Legendary Pilots, When you have nothing else to spend your A-Coins on.
My Recommendation : Get Orion, You will never regret it, Best Mech that has even Late Game Presence. Just to let you know how OP Orion is, I have 5* Hangar and get matched with Pink Star Opponents sometimes (7*) and I demoish them with just my 4* Orion and Disc Launcher 8s. Most Mechs are 1 or 2 shot with Orion's Mark.
If you already have a hangar of epic pilots that do well, you probably don't need to get legendary ones. Legendary ones are better and will be better end game, but epic ones can still hold their own for most people through most content. At very top end play, they are behind the curve, but still arent even unusable. Just less favorable. BTW - I plan to do a video covering pilots and when you should get them and will try expound upon this more.
In either case though, I wouldn't try to rush through stuff unless you have an important goal. Rushing usually means you get something you want, but the rest of your hangar suffers. So if you want like DL16, you rush to end the to get, but don't have a good loadout for it and your SP is too high for the rest of your hangar to handle since you didn't upgrade stuff much.

Wow it took 3 months to complete tier 6 well since tier 7 is legenerdary things and since someone(idk who said it but i dont remember) said it takes like 3 months for a leg mech thatll take like 8 months at least for tier 7 im guessing anyways great vid scape
Im only missing one item to get me to Tier 7. Its either going to be Orion, mr12, or Helix 12.
What should i go for?
My current best mech is surge with 2x arc10, which i got before the gear hub came out.
Also have 4* panther, 4* killshot, Zephyr, sentinel, 4* guardian
largely depends on your playstyle, pilots/implants, goals, etc. Orion is a very strong mech and if you feel you need one hes a great option. He can also stretch weapons a bit further so even out of box his 16 energy is pretty good. Helix are very useful, but have some maps they are just bad at. mr12s is quite good but harder to land shots with unless youve gotten decent with them. For flexibility id probably lean towards orion or mr12, but thats just me. Very subjective.
I'd say Orion tbh he can easily replace sentinel because Orion is op
@@scape211 Yeah Ive gotten tht far too. I Play really aggressive and like to rush the Enemy and kill them from behind. Or i Single out the players and make them regret their choices.
I only have mediocre pilots and implants, no legendaries
My favorite gamemodes are 2v2 and cpc, i rarely Play tournament.
My only goals are to have fun and being able to compete w/ my Friends

When is the next f2p log coming? I love these series. Now there's hemlock playoff so it's probably a good time to spend acoins (and hemlock is kinda similar to orion so you won't have to get it), but you can also wait a few months for vortex playoff instead.
As someone who looked down at grav beams i just dual copied mine the other day and put them on my panther and the results are flawless

Hey scape wondering if you could help me out. I am ftp currently in tier 6 and wanna find out if I should go for the grav 10 and max it. Could you tell me how much time it took you to get all the blueprints? I have nearly 500 chests stacked up too but I wouldnt want to wait more than a month

Aegis and DL8s are probably the best items to focus on getting. Redeemer isnt bad either, but if you already got killshot you probably dont need him. Aegis is better anyways right now. End game worthy.

With the recent update that makes chain gun available for credits. Do you think is worth going that route?
Question. Should I farm for three legendary pilots or buy each one as soon as I get resources to buy them. I am a bitstunned by the choice of major and instant boost (aka 3 legendary pilots) or gradual power growth
F2p it would take you many months to save up a-coins to buy legendary pilots. Stock up on acoins, crates and blueprints, they do a playoff for legendary pilots every few months you might be able to snag one while upgrading your gear
tbh its hard to say. I try to fashion my purchases around events when I can. AS of right now, the last few playoffs havent interested me as they have been implants for the new weapons and this account wont get those. So I havent purchased any. But if one was good for it, I probably wouldve bought one. So thats usually my take on it. As for optimization in terms of SP and all that, I havent really calculated it.

Hey scape i have found that missle 12 guardian is good for killing tanks if you ever have a chance i would appreciate seeing if a dual missile 16 gaurdian works in the same way at max level
Yea i would imagine it does. I see some players run mr16 onyx andit can do well so I would imagine mr16 guardian is kinda similar.
I know bots behave differently, but what's your opinion on 1 grav and 1 stasis vs 2 grav beams. As in trying to hold them put while the grav beam does its thing? May have to move to disc 12 when I upgrade my eclipse because 7.5k seems a bit rich for grav 12. :(
In practice, 2 grav beams kill an enemy way faster than 1 grav and one stasis beam,slowing them down can be helpful but *overall dual grav 10 is better*
Im with bloodbourne on this. A single GB takes too long to kill and a single Stasis beam takes way too long for just a slow effect. My GB10/SB8 build was a placeholder at best and maybe not even the best one. I was just trying to maximize a pilot build. But it was always with the intent of getting dual gravs.
As for GB12, I personally am unsure if I will get it. Its a decent build, but since I already have 10s and there will be other (are arguably better) options in the next tier I may not even bother.
@scape211 loving my dual 10 build but outgrow soon. Will swap to the dual 16 when my mechs grow up. Hate to loose the extra speed though with a 32 energy mech

Orion is a mech i have considered leveling up more. I dont know what Ill put on it though. Sniper weapons and disc launchers have lesser value overall especially after mods. I do think I may get EMs just to have a sniper weapon, but its not something Im going to focus on right now. I also have other items I plan to focus on before Orion so we will see.

So I can spend resources on my guardian just to get a 20 energy capacity mech
I think 9its a decent choice tbh. Guardian still sees a lot of play even among top end players who dont spend since his ability is so strong and unique. So taking him to 20 for temporary use and even potential later use isnt a bad investment to me. And even though I said in the video that I have eclipse, I still am wondering if I should take Guardian to 20 and replace something else like redeemer at times. I may end up doing that later depending on my weapon loadout situation.

If you are in this tier, you could skip the 10 and go for the 12. That’s what I did. I do t have an arc build right now but I will when I get something to 18

Depends - do you have a 20 energy build you are looking to do right now or do you have a mech in your hangar that underperforms? Ultimately you will want to do both, but the answer to either question just helps you prioritize which is first.

Do pairs of Grav 10 can handle endgame?
I have used against other players higher than me (like even into 6-8k ish) and it does ok. The implosion on the target depending on its HP can be too long as it needs 2 to 3 implosions to kill, but it can work as a deterrent or finisher. Just not as effective for sure. I dont know how long I plan to use it and will likely cycle it out later.

I still dont get why people think I'm doing something miraculous here. Its just the daily stuff I mentioned in my previous video. I do get lucky every once in a while with fortunate vaults and i sometimes push events with acoins, but thats it. I dont even play tourney. I am saving them right now though so it probably looks like a lot more than it does to other people. Plus I assume you are closer to end game where credits are used up much quicker. Thats why I am trying to save big chunks now.
