Why is it that I have never seen someone do a pressure test before on a water loop with that air pressure gauge?? heck not even mentioned in water builds i have seen...??
@@fabioules2737 They make that specifically for computers? heh. I could make it with spare parts laying around. 2 Pipe nipples, pipe T, gauge, ball valve, shrader valve.
I have built in this case several pc’s for customers and this is not easy. If I had smaller hands to do this, I would build a personalized rig for myself. Great job!
In mine I was able to get the cable panel to close with some cable training and maneuvering. Basically had to force it flat into that channel. I also ran my 8 pin EPS through that, out towards the front panel and then back in to prevent the EPS from having to run over the mobo. Cleaned it up and made it easier to manage the other cables. Might try that. Little bummed the shroud doesn't fit with that res too but awesome build. I am super jealous of your front cover. That's my next mod. I wish Phanteks also had drilled holes behind all the places monoblocks or water blocks are screwed into for easy removal and maintenance. I had to do that mother board tray mod myself last night as I'm cleaning and rebuilding. Also +1000 for the Dr Drop. That tool is amazing. Saved my ass on my own build. Found a leak where the cut on a tube wasn't clean.
I wanna highlight what a smart move 2:07 was. 2 screws into the fan to secure fan and radiator to the case and 2 more into the HALOS. That way you did not have to tighten 4 screws super hard through the plastic fan frames. Most might not have noticed and I only did because I struggle with how to install 6 of those myself.
gotta say i love the way u test to see if u have any leaks man never thought to do that and dk why more ppl dont do that but im just wondering what kind of temps ur getting never seen a cpu loop like that
Pressure checks are quite common in just about everything else involving gas/liquid. I do them routinely at work, and like you I've never seen anyone do it with a pc build. Always fun to see commercial/industrial get stepped down to consumer.

Sauber!
Hoffe da kommt bald wieder was von denen.
Nice build, but I wished you talked about the build some instead of just B-roll. Like why you went with all Phanteks water cooling parts or any snags you hit during wiring or what you would do differently if you had to do it again.
Jesus, that MB cable connector is really stuffed in there lol. Great job. I would have opted for a clear dye purple, I think it would have looked better, but it's sick.
Looks good o.o recently bought this case with the idea of setting out for a water cooling build myself~ Im fairly new to this and have not seen this parallel thing done before~ Wouldnt that kill the flow coming into the fittings before CPU/GPU? Like are they getting equal? Not to critique the build on aesthetics (Which are great) but id like to see the impact of this on thermals compared to other set ups :3
The inlet of cooled water comes from the processor and immediately goes to the video card, thus the flow of waste fluid from the video card enters together with the water outlet from the processor into 1 common flux.
@@zakiry8634 there is a lot more to cases than how they look, it doesnt have good cable management, very poor airflow, if this weren't water cooled the temps would be awful, the riser that comes with it is known to be shitty. when this case was designed, even though it looks great and is high quality the designers clearly had very specific hardware in mind, on the website at first (its changed now) had the pictures of the case where the cables were clearly photoshopped out of sight and made less noticeable. There is also not a lot of room for the PSU. The side panel often times doesnt close properly if and AIO, or fans or radiators have round isntead of flat screws, obviosuly the designers didnt think that 1 mm mattered, but it does, also it has terrible airflow and thermals
Wow using the air pressure with a pump for leaks is genius!
Why is it that I have never seen someone do a pressure test before on a water loop with that air pressure gauge?? heck not even mentioned in water builds i have seen...??
ikr!
agree
thats a product from aquacomputer, called dr. drop. I have seen people build a gadget like that before though

The music is pure hell....absolute hell.

Hands down the best Evolve Shift build I've seen. No doubt. I might actually try to do it myself. Wow.
Nice to see how the Phanteks Res looks in a build.
love that custom front panel
2 years ago you were begging to EK for a sponsorship now your balling with phanteks! Nice brother
I like the idea of splitting the water at the cpu block. Nvr thought to do that. Good stuff.
I love the Honeycomb cutout on the front panel. That would probably boost cooling performance for an aircooled in this case and it looks sexy:)
Awesome build! Mini ITX custom loops are tough, congrats on pulling it off, love it.
Beautiful build and very creative pressure check for leaks!!!!
Also Wasser marsch :)
Did you mod the front panel yourself ? I wish I could do that on my shift X to improve the cooling...

No link to radiators or fittings or tubes?
Go to phanteks website you will see the fittings, not sure about Rads and Tubs. Probably some you can find on enthusiast website, like FrozenCPU
Great job, is that the taller Shift X case? Cant find it anywhere, think they stopped making the tall one.
Yes it is.
Why were you pumping air pressure at 5:00? Sorry I'm new to custom water cooling, about to start my first project soon so I'm studying everything.
To leak test the loop
What adapter is that at 1:44? Is that an EKWB model?
Insane build!

How thick are your rads? I'm trying to something similar in the same case. Sweet build though brother!
This is stunning
"Purple dream" sounds like a kind of kush lol.
I love this case ...i love this build
no video of the case buildt with the side panels on?..
coolest Phanteks i'v seen
Hey, what the loop structure, exactly? Looks great!
LIT AF - wie immer 🔥
masterpiece!
Awesome build. How are the temps and performance?

Really nice build ! But I have a question.... why is he using a pump and a pressure meter ?
He checks for leaks before filling.
@@TechMaxTV1 Oooooooh okay :o good to know ^^

keep up the dope work. love your vids
@techmaxtv for the custom cables what lengths did you use?
how many compression fittings were used here? i tried watching but couldnt keep up lol.
What controller did you use to hook up all the RGB watercooling components?
TechMaxTV PLZ Give a link to the device with a pressure gauge and a pump to check the integrity of the circuit!!!!!!!!
Check description, added it. Its called Dr. Drop.

love the TOWER BUILD :D

How thick are the radiators?
awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How does two tubes go to each cpu port?
not sure if im keen on the idea of CPU/GPU Loop :-/ - but its a nice build
Solid build! Btw is that a customized front panel? It looks so cool, and the ventilation is definitely better than the original one.
The Shift and Shift air are all available, but I cant find the shift x anywhere. Any idea where I can find this case?
Pretty much sold out everywhere. I hope phanteks makes another batch or a new series
Realy nice and a very good presentation
How do two lines go to each cpu ports?
Perfect build. Only one Question, Do you manage to include any mass storage such as SSD? Was it behind the reservoir?
M.2 on the motherboard.
am i crazy or does the shift x not come with a honeycomb front like that?
No it doesn’t
@@TechMaxTV1 it looks amazing, im assuming you have a cnc machine or something?
Yes got it cnc milled by a friend
Where did you get you get your front panel done??
You have any temperature performance stats?
Im worried the radiators wont cut it for my build..
Hallo Max,
Was ist das bei 4:50?
Würde mich über eine Antwort freuen :D
Nennt sich Dr. Drop.
@@TechMaxTV1 Achso Danke
nice build, i think the cables from the motherboard need to be more tight so the airflow to pass trough the board also
Since when does the shift x come with holes in the front panel?
Killer build bro!! 😲🙌🔥
Did you make the panel holes for air vents or it came with the phanteks from the factory?
I got it milled by a friend.
@@TechMaxTV1 got it. Phanteks should've actually make those panels with air vents as standard from the factory.
Where did you get the pump and gauge
How did you do the design in front of the case ???? Please I want to do that to mine 😍
Has been milled out by a friend.
why did he mount the r220 reservoir on another radiator? is this overkill or are r220s not great for temperature management?
Because that was the only place.
Nice build
Why don't you show the part of hard tubes preparing?
Should I?
@@TechMaxTV1 It would be very helpful! You inspire us to build such beautiful pc systems but we can't do that without knowing this part
Sick build. :0)
Can someone explain how this loop works?
Why are there 4 tubes on the cpu block
GPU is parallel to the CPU.
But will that not bypass the cpu or gpu ?
The inlet of cooled water comes from the processor and immediately goes to the video card, thus the flow of waste fluid from the video card enters together with the water outlet from the processor into 1 common flux.
Can this case fit an 360 mm AIO? (Like CoolerMaster MasterLiquid ML360R RGB)
Or any suggestion of an itx case fitting a 360 mm AIO
How are those temps holding up ?
Also how did you mod the front of the case , it looks great.
Haven’t benchmarked that thing. I’ve got the front milled by the company in the description.
Best build in this badly designed case i have seen.
TheSlacky775 how is it badly designed, it looks great, it serves its purpose as a pc case
@@zakiry8634 there is a lot more to cases than how they look, it doesnt have good cable management, very poor airflow, if this weren't water cooled the temps would be awful, the riser that comes with it is known to be shitty. when this case was designed, even though it looks great and is high quality the designers clearly had very specific hardware in mind, on the website at first (its changed now) had the pictures of the case where the cables were clearly photoshopped out of sight and made less noticeable. really cool build, but how did you do it with all the fans? You got one more subscriber
Idk if I missed it but what rads are you using?
Leak testing with air... why have i never thought about this.

How did you mod the panel for airflow like that? I'm thinking doing the same thing to my Evolv ATX :/

Nice build. I have to say I never understood why buy a card with an expensive aircooler attached; just to rip it off for water cooling.
Many higher end custom cards usually have custom circuits and the VRMs or power and MOSFETs and so on are usually higher end
amazing
