I think this case would actually smell great while using it.
Hahaha, well it did smell of the varnish the first couple of days but it's gone now.
That's interesting, indeed lol.
@@mxcbuilds6633 … ¿Where did you get the custom length cable?
@@BGMofo I bought the connectors, Wire and sleeving to make them myself.
@@mxcbuilds6633 … I guess there the prudent question should have ¿Where do you buy your supplies to make your own cables?
I first saw your most recent video and going back to this one you can see how much you've progressed in both construction and presentation.
Even if it's not as involved and intricate as your most recent builds, it's still custom and beautiful.
Keep progressing bro! 👊
Thanks for the support and also checking out my old videos!
Beautiful build video and a VERY beautiful case. You fully deserve a round of applause, well done MXC Builds👍👍
Thanks for your kind words mate. Glad you enjoyed the vid :)
agreed
Really good video production. What I like about this build is the mixing of two worlds, the modern technology, with a retro look. The case kind of looks like some nicely crafted furniture from back in the 1960's or 70's, and then there's all the up to date tech inside it... a really nice combination.
Thank you! Appreciate the detailed comment. Glad you like it, consider subbing so you don't miss my next project :D
Beatiful diy case and nice build video. I love it!
Thanks! Glad you like it :)
Great Build. The clear panel and back lighting look really good!
Here from our reddit discussion. This is absolutely stunning.
Haha thanks man!
I need to do this I love the warmth of wood mixed with metal and tech. Great job
Que hermosura de trabajo. Espectacular. Saludos desde Argentina
Gorgeous build and cinematography!
Cheers! Consider subbing so you don't miss the next build :))
felicidades le quedo hermoso, soy fan de los ensambles mini ITX
Its AMAAAAAZING!!! Thanks!
Lots of careful planning and obsessing over the details here. Fantastic result.
Haha yes there was! Thanks for watching :)
Really clean build! Love the custom case!
Thanks! Glad you liked it :) Consider a sub so you dont miss my next build
looks great !!! ikea could buy this design !!!
I often have some things to say about the part selection in this type of videos, but here, everything makes sense. You put a 10400F on a B460 board, use 32Gb of RAM (since it is necessary in todays' heavier games), use a great high capacity NVMe SSD, have a great CPU/GPU combo, etc... everything is well thought out. Congrats on your build, hope it serves you well 😉
Thank you! It sure was a sensible build from the start, buying last gen CPU and Mobo on clearance saved me quite alot. As well as getting the used 1080ti from eBay. The ram is mainly for when I do 3D modelling, some of the more complex models really start eating up my ram.
@@mxcbuilds6633 I'm happy you're pleased with your build. I thought the i5-10400F wouldn't be that powerful for a 1080 Ti but, depending on the use you make of your PC and the resolution you're running it at, it should actually be enough. Since you're 3D modeling on your machine, I don't think this CPU is a bottleneck.
Did you thought of buying an i5-11400F at some point? It's quite the bump in performance over this 10th gen part and is around the same price, isn't it ?
The initial plan was to get a 11400F but prices here in australia meant that there was about a 100AUD difference for the CPU and about and 80AUD different for a B560 MOBO. So I opted to save myself the money and just buy slightly older hardware. I dont really need the extra performance at this point in time anyways.
32GBs of memory isn't necessary but it's good for future-proofing. 16 gbs can also play games absolutely fine
@@dihydrogenmonoxide9210 it's useful for CAD. Complex assemblies in fusion 360, or solid works, can use up a good bit of ram. I know this case was designed on Fusion 360 so it's worth mentioning.
If you like to play around with CAD (or are a pro engineer) then 32Gb is minimum Imo. You can get away with less, since windows knows how to compress ram when you overload it, but this leads to suboptimal performance.
u deserve applause my friend.. regards from italy.
Thank you! Much appreciated! Please consider subbing to support my next build if you haven't already :)
Great job! 👍
Clean AF

Super chillig des anzusehen. Sieht echt toll aus dein Case.
Danke fürs zuschauen!
Amazing! 😍😍
very elegant!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Lol'd at the ssd unboxing. Great build!
Too cringe? Haha
@@mxcbuilds6633 Nah man it's refreshing haha most youtubers would reshoot. I kinda like that you didn't.
Great job the tolerances and precision are on point excellent work. Personally would have finished the 3D printed parts so you can't see the print lines but that can always be done later. I also like the design of the feet on the case good job.
Thanks! Yeah definitely something ill consider for the next build.
Beautiful Work Man 👍🏻
Thanks mate, glad you liked it :)
WOW!! Awesome design! Everything looks perfect! I really like the double sided configuration. Give me some ideas.
Thank you! Its nice being able to see all the components of the PC
Damn bro, excellent planning 😲👌 and of course, execution!!!
Thank you for watching!
Wonderful build!
Thank you :)
SUPER NICE PC CONGRATULATIONS BRO 👏

Currently watching the build video. Might try making one. Thanks for the video.👌👌
Simply Awesome. it's a very good job! you've a great dexterity! Nice

Wirklich ein sehr schönes Gehäuse. Top!
Danke!
Sir, you are actually a genius! What a beautiful build! And let's me say this... I am not one say this easly 😉 i am a perfectionist 😁
Thank you!
Love to have a full atx case version of this
Might consider that as a future project
good design
Thanks mate!
Very nice!
Thank you :)
VERY NICE ....
beautiful build. your cinematography skills make it seem like you have a couple hundred thousand subs haha. keep up the good work!
Thanks man, that means alot!
Amazing 👍👍👍
Thanks!
fire
simplesmente incrivel !!!!!!
very cool
I wonder now if i should revisit DIYing a PC case. Now that i use parametric CAD and 3D print, this solves a lot of finicky little issues. I could fold things into a given space. I could give it a top loader optical drive, made from a laptop drive with eject mechanism disabled and tray endstop switch relocated to the lid.
You have a great talent, your creation is very nice e very clean
Thank you so much 😊
Holy shit that's clean 🙌🙌🙌
Cheers mate, consider subbing for my next build :)
COOL!
Cheers!
Great job
Thanks!
looks great!! I want to do something like this but on a larger scale.. almost a full size case!!
Thanks! Yeah I would start with a larger case first, gives you a lot more room for error. My very first wooden case was a full ATX form factor which taught many learnings.
beau boulot
👍
Thanks
New subscriber, here. Beautiful build, man!
I'm pretty sure, we all want to see more. 😎
Thank you! I'm already thinking of the the next project 😬
@@mxcbuilds6633 Right on, man!
EXCELLENT
Cheers mate :)
Nice build
Thank you :)
Hermoso Beatiful cheers from Argentina, btw the new artic p12 argb would be a nice upgrade for bottom, top and cpu
A build with RGB AIO is coming soon!
As a personal project this is great fun ! As a case, good case design and airflow choice. Only concern would be price hah... Ordering two of those tempered glass panels probably cost more than buy entire brand new PC case. But who cares, most important thing was building process! And it turned out to be great success.
Yeah this was definitely was not a cost saving attempt. The raw materials alone cost more than a meshilicious... It was all about being creative and havig fun along the way! :D
whao that loking so good:)
Thanks! :)
Excellent! With a limited set of tools, it turned out just super. But maybe you should have painted your grill grates?
Thank you! Yeah painting the grills would have made it even cleaner for sure.
@@mxcbuilds6633 As an extra step, when I am finishing printerd parts, is to sand them to a sandpaper glued down with double-sided tape over a sheet of glass, to get a great straight sanding. Great build!
This is simply amazing. I plan to do something like this but for an ATX build. I thought the 011 Air MIni was going to be compact enough, but I want to go smaller.
Give it a shot! Its so much fun :)
@@mxcbuilds6633 where did you source the glass from?
@@tonsoffun49 got it ordered from a window/mirror shop near me.
@@mxcbuilds6633 Thanks. That's what I was thinking.

Thank you! Yeah I figured haha
@@mxcbuilds6633 lol
We’ll done. I hope you’ll continue to make more.
Thank you! The second one is already in progress 😄
Noctua fans would fit perfectly in this aesthetics but great build anyways
Totally agree, just a little too pricey for my budget 😓
Great build! Only two things could have been a little better for next time imo. 1) a little cut could be drilled in the wood over the vertical gpu bracket screw (to not damage the wood when its installed and give a better screw angle) 2) the glue is visible on the metal dots that holds the glass plate in place. I think blacks metal dots and less glue could help this. Another way could be to spray paint a black border on the glass that also covers the wood frame.
Thanks for watching! Yeah I agree with point 1 where there was access issues with the GPU mounting. I did the best I could with even application of the glue on the magnets. I didn't want to paint the black rim as I wanted to show off the solid wood frame of the case.
I haven’t found any ITX case that stands out to me until now. This is the inspiration I needed to try and build my own. Did you look for any front IO’s with USB’s? If not where did you get that power button?
Thanks! I'm glad my build inspired you to do your own. I didn't want to have front IO as I felt it would take away from the clean front wood panel. I got the power button from AliExpress.
Nice bro
Cheers bro
Pura arte
Thanks!
Красота
Благодаря
you sick!!!
Haha cheers
Very Nice! Subbed for sure... look forward to future stuff :)
Thank you! The next project is already in the works :)
very nice, was anxious wondering if you were going to put a 5800x in it and the heat that comes out of it. Great choice of parts and looks great. Like the LED strips, might try souce a few to go on my printers
Thanks! Yeah this particular case is limited to a CPU cooler of
It's so cool, hey bro
Thanks bro
Beautiful case... just 2 things missing: the ground connection of the motherboard stands, and some front usb ports.
That's a good point regarding the grounding, might have to look into that. As for front I/O I opted to just use a USB hub (3x USB 3, micro SD) that I've attached under my desk. This is to keep the clean look of the case. Thanks for watching!
@@mxcbuilds6633 you could connect a copper wire to all stands, underneath the motherboard (strip the insulation only where the cable is connected to the stands!) and then connect it to the power supply body.
Awesome Build ! Can you please Make a Video on How to Make this case with dimensions 🤗🤗😍😍
beautiful build! hos the thermals though under load?
Thank you, thermals are good. Both CPU and GPU hover around 70C under full load.
👁👄👁so pretty
Thank you! Glad you think so :)
by the way, use gimbal so the zoom roll B not shaking, and edit the lighting and color your video alittle bit more, this channel will be perfect like optimum tech! you deserves more like and subs!
Thanks! Yeah I don't have a proper filming set up. Just using my phone to film the shots 😅
Nice! Curious, did you look into threaded inserts to go into the wood for the standoffs? I think they'd look really nice in this biuld
The motherboard standoffs are screwed into threaded inserts. Maybe I didn't mention it in the video.
Noctua far are perfect for this...
Haha too expensive...
You should hve romoved that paper sticker from the m2 ssd otherwise that thermoconductive pad on the heatsink has no purpose. Paper/adhesive papaer/stikers are a heat barrier and it is keeping the heat in that spot. No biggie but I think you could benefit with a couple of degrees difference.
Thanks for watching. I believe most stickers on these SSDs are some sort of metallic sticker that doesn't insulate much heat. And most people don't remove them as doing so likely voids the warranty. I could be wrong, but as you said the difference is negligible
Meng-inspirasi saya
Thank you!
Good morning, could you make the project available as a whole, the measurements of all the pieces, even the 3D ones, it was wonderful to have the case in varnished wood, in short it was a work of art, that's why you share the whole project 100%, it would allow and encourage even more people build wooden computer case.
Thank you for your interest in the design, I am planning to publish the 3D files on Etsy for purchase but haven't upload yet.
NOOOOICEEE!!!
Thanks!
