Another reason to build a habit of pulling out your shotgun in certain build situations is for W-keying. If you try to take someone’s wall and don’t get it, but run through your muscle memory anyways, you’ll end up pumping the wall making it only one pickaxe. Basically you can get 2 wall take attempts in a rapid succession.

So because it won't let me edit it, and because I have left click bound for both shoot and select edit, and have right click for place build, I often accidentally wind up placing another wall. However, if I have my shotgun or pickaxe out, I edit the wall I've already placed. So sometimes I switch to my shotgun if I know I just want to place a wall and do a peanut butter or window edit real quick to avoid having to turn back more to the left or accidentally place another wall instead. Also with cones: If I place a cone near me, and I want to edit it, sometimes, I wind up placing another cone above or behind it instead when I have my blueprints out, versus editing the cone when I switch to my weapon.

Yeah, it can happen with any piece at certain angles and distances. In general, you can edit at a longer range with bp editing, but you are more likely to edit the piece you have your crosshairs on if you have your weapon out.

I have left click for select edit and shoot (so I don't accidentally shoot when I miss an edit), and right click for reset and place (so I can click right then left in one motion to edit without resetting). With those settings plus scroll reset, I feel like the only limitations in my edit speed are due to my crosshair placement.

I edit with left shift with my pinky, my edit timing is sometimes goad and bad, I’ve been using pinky for 4 years now I try to edit with index but I struggle to time the edit aswell
You don't need world class speed with editing. You only need to be consistent and have a good crosshair placement. Fast mechenics are overrated, you just need to have a speed that is as fast as possible while having full awareness over the opponent.
If you can get at least 120fps, what does it matter? If you're talking about sense, do what feels most comfortable and is the most ergonomic (i.e. don't turn it up super high and blow out your wrist).
@@DrunkenHotei if you can only make 120 fps in fortnite on performance mode, your pc is definitely garbage when it comes to run other heavy games. You need to take in consideration that people play other games, not just Fortnite. I'd personally recommend this guy to buy a ps5, or a xbox one series x|s if only for fortnite at 120 fps, not a pc.
@@darkfu41 I get like 90 fps on average on the main map, so you can say my PC is definitely not a "gaming rig," but I don't find myself missing shots or inputs that I can attribute to anything other than my being slow or inaccurate. I think that unless you're playing at a semi-pro high level, you won't feel much impact in going past 90. Getting frame-perfect inputs is hard enough on 60 fps, anything higher than 120 is definitely just for an extra layer of security, as ping is more likely to be a game-changing factor at that level. PS I didn't know you could get 120 fps on xbox series x. I'm going to tell my friend who's been insisting that he can only get 60, which makes a huge difference for sure.

if you take out your pickaxe before making an edit and then after making the edit you switch to your gun you can ads before your shotgun pullsout
