Great review bro, and alot of the good reviewers has been saying the shoe is very narrow. However, seeing that you are a wide footer gives me hope for this shoe.
Thank you! 🙏 I did notice other RUclipsrs saying these run narrow too 😅🤷♂️ I betchu they didn’t loosen all of the laces before trying them on, plus the toe box is nice and shallow wrapping around the foot (no extra space above your toes) which can make people feel like the shoes are narrow. 😅 As an extreme wide-footer with a high in-step I can certainly vouch for these GT Cuts 😎 although I went up half a size (as I always do anyways), I can see/anticipate that people with only slightly wide feet can enjoy going true-to-size comfortably as they’ll break in nicely. 😆🙌
@@hihelloimtam yeah exactly and I think other reviewers fitting is not always accurate since the have normal or narrow feet. By looking at your feet it looks similar to mines as mines are extremely wide with high instep. I'm a true size 9 4E and usually always wear 9.5 or 10 for Nikes. The westbrook whynot 0.2-0.4 all fits comfortably at 9.5, so that's why I enjoy playing in them. KD shoes are too damn narrow for me to enjoy lol.

What shoes are in your current hoop shoes rotation right now and what sizes are they in? 👀 that way I can see/understand your fitting/preference better 🧐
Fantastic review bro! You got me wanting to buy em. Question on sizing. I wear 11.5 in AF1s casually, and am thinking to go with these in 11 for a solid, on court fit. Do you also think 11 would be my best fit in these? Thanks.
Thank you! 😆🙏 Hmmm for a good sizing recommendation imma need some more info 😆 what are some other basketball/sportswear/athletic sneakers that you wear and what size(s) are they? 👀
In that case, size 11 would be best for you in the GT Cut! The fitting is somewhat comparable to the Why Not Zer0.4 with the overall shape both width and length. But just make sure to loosen the laces all the way before trying them on, because the react insoles might be too non-slippery and grip onto your socks (instead of allowing your socks/feet to smoothly glide into the shoes like most other insoles), so you might mistakenly think that the GT Cut run small/narrow. Compared to the Cosmic Unity, the GT Cut is substantially better in my opinion. Most notably the significantly better traction, more comfortable cushion with better step-in comfort (equally low to the ground), and the better lock down (cosmic unity has minor heel slipping issue for me). But aesthetically speaking I like them both almost equally 🤣🤷♂️ fitting wise, the cosmic unity fits just a tad narrower (possibly just a combination of thicker upper and the bubbly midsole coming up on the sides).
@@hihelloimtam i really appreciate the breakdown, bro. Really detailed and thorough. Im sure a lot of other people will benefit from this comparison too. The low to the ground vibe reminds me of the Kobe Ad nxt 360 which was my favorite shoe. I will look for the GT cut's in this color now. 🙌🏽
Nice review, subbed now! I'm a wide footer; I wear size 9 for most hoop shoes, including Kobe 9 and Puma Clyde All Pro. Haven't been able to find these to try on in person. It sounds like size 9 for these might work for me rather then going up half a size?
Size 9 would be perfect for you! Length wise and overall fit of the GT Cut is very similar to Kobe 9 EM and Puma Clyde All Pro (I played extensively in both). But the footbed of the GT Cuts is just slightly wider than both of the other two so they’ll be nice for us wide-footers 😆 I hoop in a size 9 across all three of these shoes and the GT Cut fits me the best! 🏀
Thanks man! I am solidly in middle age now so could use the cushion. Luckily being middle aged now and no longer young and broke means I can probably afford these!
If you do lots and lots of explosive moves and layups plus hustling for rebounds constantly then maybe this is just a tad not enough. But, since you’re a guard as well, I want to say that this is the best cushion setup for guard since you’d be close to the ground with bouncy feel and nice impact protection (to do all of shifty moves with or without the ball) 🏀😆 what are your current favorite hoop shoes? Thank you!! 😆🙏 the sizing of the GT Cuts is indeed very very similar to the Kobe AD NXT 360. I would go with the same size you have/enjoy in the Kobes, but the on-feet feel from the GT Cuts should be even better thanks to the nicer upper (Kobe 360 upper was very plasticky flyknit) plus the GT Cut’s tongue is well-padded and bigger so it hugs your foot more comfortably.

Hello friend, how are you? a question I usually use size 10.5 in my kobes you recommend me to use 10 in the gt cut because I could not find in 10.5 I have narrow foot
Hi! I think you can enjoy size 10 in GT Cut since they are a bit less tight in comparison to the Kobes that I played in (Kobe 9 EM, Kobe 11, Kobe AD NXT 360). Aside from Kobes, do you hoop in anything else in a size 10? 👀

@@hihelloimtam Usually play in my Kobe IX low, Kyrie Low 2 but the Kobe 6 Protro ASG feel hella snug. Maybe I need to play a bit more in it so it breaks in better, afterall the insole is supposed to mold to my feet shape lol.
Gotcha! The GT Cuts’ fit is quite similar to the Kobe 9 EMs that I played in. Nice and secure but not suffocatingly tight. Plus the materials on the GT Cuts should be much more comfortable than Kobe 6s so you won’t have to spend as much time breaking the shoes in. Anddd the footbed of the GT Cut is just a bit wider than the Kobe 6s as well so I think you’d be good to go with size 9.5 😆 Just make sure to loosen the laces all the way when you get them and try them on, not just the top eyelets and then trying to stuff your feet in there (the react drop in might be too grippy for your feet yo glide in smoothly). I personally think that might be why other reviewers think that these shoes run narrow. 😤😮💨🥲 I’m pretty confident to confirm that they’re very much true-to-size and accommodating to most foot shapes. 😆🙌
eBay! There are some international sellers that have many shoes early since they release in Asia first. 2 of my favorites are “id4shoes” and “kicks_shop_tw”, not affiliated or sponsored or anything, I just bought a lot from them over the years and they always always ship super fast and reliable! 😆👍
Size 9 😆 I meant the fitting (length wise and snugness) is consistent with most US size 9 that I wear in all other basketball shoes. I don’t (or physically can’t) wear or hoop in size 8.5 US unless they come in wide options (like in New Balance, Asics, a few Nike models, etc.). I hope that helps 😆🙏
@@hihelloimtam hmm alright. So you're actually an 8.5...? But you play in size 9 for basketball? So you went up half a size from you true foot length? Cos im a size 10.5 lengthwise but also have wide feet. Just kinda confused if you were basing it on your actual foot length (8.5...?) or the size you use for ball shoes (size 9)
@@ch00k131 oh yeaaaa my ideal size in hoop shoes would be US 8.5 exxxxtra wide. My feet’s width in unimaginably wide with a thick in-step too, so it’s a no go for regular-width size 8.5 for me. Because of that, I hoop in size 9 US in 99% of my hoop shoes, as I actually enjoy the extra 2-3 millimeters of length so I don’t jam my toes. Soooo with that being said, for these GT Cuts, I would go with your typical preferred size for your Nike/Jordan hoop shoes. They should accommodate wide feet decently/comfortably. If you can let me know what are your current favorite hoop shoes and what size(s) you chose in them, maybe I can help you better with the sizing comparison?

Anddd the footbed of the GT Cut is just a bit wider than the Kobe 6s as well so I think you’d be good to go with size 9.5 😆
Just make sure to loosen the laces all the way when you get them and try them on, not just the top eyelets and then trying to stuff your feet in there (the react drop in might be too grippy for your feet yo glide in smoothly). I personally think that might be why other reviewers think that these shoes run narrow. 😤😮💨🥲 I’m pretty confident to confirm that they’re very much true-to-size and accommodating to most foot shapes. 😆🙌
React should be used more or even standard Nike cushion
100% agree!!
where did u get them tho?
eBay! There are some international sellers that have many shoes early since they release in Asia first. 2 of my favorites are “id4shoes” and “kicks_shop_tw”, not affiliated or sponsored or anything, I just bought a lot from them over the years and they always always ship super fast and reliable! 😆👍
When u mentioned true to size, did u mean the 8.5 or 9?
@@hihelloimtam ooohh got it! Uhh got lebron 17s in size 11, lebron 16s in a 10.5, flint 13s in 10.5 and jordan 11 lows in a 10.5 as well. Thanks! Your review kinda sold me on the gt cut cos im trying go for shoes closer to the ground with really good cushioning.
@@ch00k131 awesome!! Then I would personally recommend size 10.5 for you. These actually fits quite similarly (width wise) with the lebron 16 which I really enjoyed the performance and the cushion! Even if you feel a tad snug at the beginning, these GT Cuts should break in nicely within just 2-4 hours of playing or doing some hoop drills.
And 100% agree with you on the low-to-the-ground feel as I rolled my ankles a handful of times in high-off-the-grounds or narrow-based shoes like Lebron 18, KD 12, KD 13. These GT Cuts are such bangers for hoopers, plenty of court feel plus great bouncy cushion plus impact protection. 😆🙌
Where do you get them?
I purchased on eBay. There are some international sellers who had these shoes early (and still have them now). 😆👍
@@hihelloimtam How much over retail?
@@yuanjiuli9167 you can check on eBay right now, I think around $200 (so $30 over retail which is pretty fair, for fast international shipping)
good view ~~~
😆🙌
ủa lên youtube cũng có luôn hả? :))
Cóoooo chứ 😎🤣 mới có thôi 😋🏀
