If the state can be this nice, clean, well lit, running everything then the rest of Nigeria can be. It depends on the leadership. It’s just that simple.
Nice content bro you should have told me u are coming to Calabar let me take u around I’m a creator too based here ❤🎉
Yes there is likely a link. I am Nigerian and I've subbed to your channel and I know a bit about the people of the Calabar area. Calabar has three groups with the Efik being the most well known of them. Others are the Qua (or Ejagham - who are found also found in Cameroon) and the Efut (o Balondo) who are related to the Oroko people in Cameroon. So we share a lot actually even foods.
I always taken Cameroon as the closest to Nigeria. Sadly, the seperation of the countries into two economic blocks has hindered many people from appreciating this fact.
Oh my oh my Thank you so much for this detailed explanation. I really do appreciate 🙏🏽. I am learning alot.
I have finally understood the Ekwang link! Thank you
Thanks. Cheers. 🙏🙏🙏
That was Ibibio language from Akwa ibom state who are originally from Usakedet, Isangele in Balondo Ndian division of Cameroon. The Ibibio tribe of Uyo in Akwa ibom state is different from the Efik tribe of Calabar in Cross River State.
How is ibibio different from Efik or are you sick??
Oh yes! We’re one lol! And you’re the best at shopping us around lol! Thank you so much ❤❤❤❤❤
Very good and informative vlog ❤
Im from calabar, from the Odukpani local govt(paternal family) and also from manyu division cameroon(maternal family). Sure the people around the borders are related with ancestral connections thats why the languages, cultures are similar. The calabar people just like the manyu div are known for their cleanliness and love for education. Im proud to be from the Ey0's dynasty.
Ohh the cleanliness part i can testify…the people are so clean…Omoh look at the streets. 🙌🏽
Very blessing!!
We used to have big tv 📺 like that lol! Memories and to watch movies, we hide lol! When parents weren’t around lol! Or hide behind the couch 😂😂😂😂thank you for showing this ❤❤❤❤❤
5k hotel in Calabar.....hmmmmm, when did you visit 🥺
There's something I have observed about Calabar city since the emergence of the current government. There is a noticeable improvement on the environment, the city is now looking clean and returning to its bustling state again. The city lost its essence during the immediate past administration. The city looks clean, orderly and lively.
You are very correct na only God will punish Ayade
What the texi driver speak is not Efik but mix Efik and Ibibio
It is pure Ibibio language that is separate from Efik language which is spoken in Calabar, some parts of Igboland and Akwa Ibom state and western Cameroon. Ibibio people are neighbors of Efik people from Akwa ibom state and their language is mostly spoken in their state. The taxi drivers are not Efik people but Ibibio speaking people of Ibibio tribe from Akwa ibom state.
You're very correct ! There are some similarities ! Most often, they're referred to as the Ekoi brothers or Ekoi people .
Some migrated to cameroon, others remained in Nigeria. A vivid example are the ejagham people of cameroon , some of them are in Nigeria and they're referred to as ejagham Nigeria people whilst those in cameroon are known as the ejagham cameroon people .
To add , they're very united , so they do not make any distinctions in their meetings ! Same as the bokis , etc .
Some of them are from Nigeria , but migrated to cameroon ..so the origin of the manyu people is somewhat tied to Nigeria (calabar to be precise)
God bless you for me my sister the knowledge i gain reading this comment…Thank you 🙏🏽
Bless you too my brother ! And you're most welcome 🙏
The Ibibio tribe of Uyo in Akwa ibom state are from Usakedet in Cameroon
