The Ronja Rövardotter book and movie was among my favourites when I grew up. This song is wonderful and you play it beautifully. Only makes it better that it's played by a real Ronja :) Thank you.

Hey! Lovely cover! I'm interested in learning this piece. I have a tin whistle in D and a low whistle in G. It's a very easy song but there's some half holing involved, yes?
What keys are your flutes in? Someone told me that they use a B flat whistle / recorder in this song is this true?. Do you have the tabs for this song perhaps? Greatly appreciate some help here :)

Hey :) Thanks! Honestly, since this song is so easy I learned how to play it by ear. I only googled the guitar chords. The first recorder is a soprano tuned in C. The other one, I'm pretty sure is a tenor recorder, which is also tuned in C but an octave lower. I marked the rest of the harmonizing tracks as alto in my software, but I have no idea why because now that I'm listening to it, I'm pretty sure they're also played with a tenor recorder. If it were alto though, it would be tuned in F. Regarding half-holing, if you mean going from the lower octave into the higher octave on one recorder and holding just half of the bottom hole, then yes, that is involved. I'm not sure what recorders are used in the original, I think you can use whatever you find most convenient and it will still sound good :) Hope I helped.

@@RonjaMokran I think they used a soprano recorder in the original actually. Thanks! I just have to practice on half holing. I really suck at that and that's why I've been avoiding those kind of songs. Time to practice :)

@@Guy-Usf4 The point is: A recorder has 7 holes (plus one at the back for high key, which isn't actually necessary). A tin whistle only got 6 holes. That means that as a tin whistler you will probably have to practice at the half holing, but a recorder player, if not being a tin whistler as well, wont be able to answer your question.
Personally, for that reason, if someone asks me to play some song, I've never played before on the tin whistle, usually reply that I first have to see If that song is on my tin whistle or not :)
