A lot of other groups are performing more innovative compositions, but BAC has planted its flag in ‘We will play ALL the notes’ territory, and does that better than any other group right now. I love that there’s still room in the activity for this kind of writing.

getting better and better every time i’ve seen them, saw the vic firth video and saw them at rockford on the field and in the lot and it’s gotten a lot better even since then
Then you don’t want to see what SCV is throwing down 😳 Boston is sounding good though! Minor discrepancies on the low end stuff, but they are cruisin 😎
My impressions of the book: I think what makes this composition so unique is the notational demand. With the squeezing of so many notes out at that tempo, the demand means that the energy in their hands are focused on playing with control at lower heights. When played with a defined and uniformed approach at those heights, the ornamental notes can finally be heard making it a novel kind of musical clarity within marching percussion.

Pretty expressive and clean for this early!
Boston has become the new standard for battery writing.
if not writing, certainly playing

I feel like they took the difficulty from an 11 to a 10 and it's a lot more achievable this year - rooting for them
Agreed
@@Uncle_Yam they’re still KILLING it though
I remember that
The drum 2 buzz at 2:02 lasts longer than I do 😭
This was super clean, the beats are sick AF. Can't wait to see where this one goes! 🔥🔥🔥

Are we all not going to talk about how big that guy's feet are?
Best battery in the activity.
Just so much tastiness!!
I don't know if I'd be wrong in saying but it looks like a LOT of new faces. I recognize maybe 2 snares, a bass player and 1 of the quads.
Snare got 3 vet

Yup. They’ll start coming out this week

Not sure, we don’t know if she aged out, or maybe just taking a summer off.
She just graduated college and decided not to come back this year
