I've enjoyed the hwy 12, 3 times and it never fails to bring a smile and great satisfaction. Amazing scenery . Enjoyed the video A.D.D AND RIDE SAFE OUT THERE!
You picked a great spot... ive gone up there 4 times already this summer to beat the vegas heat.... dirtbike ride around Duck creek and Tropic reservoir .... fish...and hike all the trails off scenic highway 12..... oh ya, i drink the hotel coffee lol
On my very first motorcycle tour, in 2014, I rode to all 5 Utah National Parks. UT-12 and UT-95 were the highlights for me. I think I need to do that again.
@@azdesertdog Yes, it was very fun, but the next time I tour in Utah it will be for the roads rather than the parks. Seen enough of the latter but not enough of the former.
Nice trip report. How was the bison burger? I need to keep that place in mind because I've yet to find a place in S. Utah that serves bison. I've never stopped at that lookout on 12 because there's always been too many cars / RVs parked there.
I was surprised how little traffic on a Saturday. The burger was good. I liked the place they owner came out and welcomed me in. My wife and I were back for a rodeo over the past weekend and the owner remembered me. I like to spend my money at local places if I can.
Beautiful road! I’ll likely be riding that on my DR650 next month. Your video has been a great preview. I also have a T100, but she’s not ready for touring yet. How do you like that fly screen? Is it the one from Triumph? Thanks for sharing and ride safe!
You'll like the road. You can hit the Burr Trail from Boulder UT right off 12. The fly screen came with the bike. It's more for looks than anything else. Have a safe trip.
So you road across the state line but worded like you rode from the west coast to the east coast 😂. Nice cabin. I take it you dont drink coffee oh wait now youre saying you need coffee but you dont use the pot in the room? Nice relaxing video.
A.D.D., I like the Indie Ridge shoes. They have nice toe and ankle protection, seem/look/feel like a quality shoe. If you wear a standard width shoe after break-in you should be OK. If you have wide thick feet I would not suggest buying these. They are lite, and comfortable to walk in. Would go nice when riding the Bonneville.
Been on parts of 12 and I’m planning a trip this fall to Canyon Lands. Planning on including Hwy 12 on the route. What was the name of the cabins you stayed at? I might try them. I stayed at Rubys RV resort last time in a cabin. Thanks
Nice trip and amazing views! Cool little cabins 👌
Thanks Rick. The KTM is back on the road. I hope to have some dirt stuff up soon.

Thanks Henry. I've been up there a few times but never filmed it. It surely doesn't do it justice as you know.
Thanks for taking the time to do this journey
You really are making me think very seriously about returning to the US
INSPIRATIONAL
Thanks Ray. The southwest has some amazing roads.
That's a lot of Highway . Beautiful. Made me think about Moab. Moab area would be an incredible ride.
Moab is awesome. Especially off road. Arches and Canyonlands national parks are just unbelievable.
What an adventure! 400 miles just to get warmed up haha. I enjoyed the vibe of this ride with my morning coffee👍
Thanks Anthony. Utah is an amazing place to see. In a car or a bike. The best is getting out and exploring on a hike.
Great video! Thank you for giving me my next trip! Did you lose your right glove?
Thanks Terry! I took off the glove to operate the camera. For some reason I couldn't push the button.
I ride that road at least once a year. Always a good time.
I really like it. Last time I took the wife in the pickup. We git stuck behind a Model T club

I had planned to ride the KTM to Boulder and ride back on the Burr Trail. I have the KTM fixed maybe this fall I'll make a run at it again.

I bet that was fun. I think they call that the Golden loop or something.
@@azdesertdog Yes, it was very fun, but the next time I tour in Utah it will be for the roads rather than the parks. Seen enough of the latter but not enough of the former.
How was the comfort on the long ride? You would think they would have gone around those small mountains instead of blasting a hole through them. 😁😁

Yep. People do weird things to those coffee makers in hotels 🤮

Henry. Those are a nice looking shoe and a pretty good price.

Those cabins were the Red Canyon Cabins in Kanab. For a side trip you can hit the Burr Trail/switchbacks in Boulder.
